Hi! I am Belle! Look at how cute I am! I was a momma in Alabama and am getting used to my new surroundings here in Minnesota. I might be shy at first with new people, but once I am comfortable, I love to cuddle and I have been told that I am a very sweet girl. I love going for walks and sniffing all the smells outside. I don’t like the crate yet, but my foster is helping me get used to it. I can’t wait to meet my new family and show them how amazing I am! --------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Hello! I'm Cash - aka Cashew! Without overdoing it, my foster family describes me as sweet, docile and mellow. Although a Beagle mix with a gorgeous chestnut brown coat I'm rarely one to bark or make that usual "ahhoooh" sound that beagles are known for. I have honed my "Mom following skills",as she gives nose kisses and uses her "good boy cookie voice" to tell me how handsome I am and scratches me on my ears and neck. I love the attention. I love mealtimes and gobbling up my food. I like checking out what's on the kitchen counter. When it's time for bed, I'm happy to sleep in my kennel or at the foot of the bed. I've got several resident dog siblings, and I hang back and am chill so that I can be included. I won't fight for dominance over food, toys, or the best spot on the couch. I just like to be included. It's good that my foster family has a fence, as sometimes my wanderlust and beagle nose cause me to want to see what's out there. I can jump and even scale a rock wall. That's how I met their neighbors! Oops! My foster family fortified their fence after that adventure! I love the dog toy bin and will drag out a few to chew, carry or sleep with. I'm protective of my face, so a home with adults or older, dog-savvy kids is my ideal match. I'm also a bit of a goofball and adore the company of other dogs. Say hello to Calvin! Mr. Calvin here might be the Calvin to your Hobbes, he's so sweet! Calvin was given up by his finder to our rescue recently but he's in good hands. He instantly warmed up and got along with everyone here as soon as we got him. Calvin is a Beagle mix, he's a bit of a bigger boy with his stubby legs- kind of like a super solid beagle but isn't short. Calvin loves getting attention, he'll bump you with his head so you notice and pay attention to him! He'll need a bit of leash work but is very eager to get to work! That is what people notice most about Calvin, is his eagerness. He will need slow introductions to other people and animals as he can warm up to others slowly sometimes. Hi! I'm Flick! I am from Alabama. From his foster: I have been fostering Flick for over a month. He is a gem. We call him our little Velcro boy. He has the biggest heart. You can see kindness in his eyes. He loves to cuddle up in your arms no matter where you are. Hes a snuggle bug. He loves his kennel. He is treat motivated and goes potty outside - he is learning how to tell us but for now we just take him out and it works great. A fenced yard would be perfect for him. He's a great walker however he does love to stop occasionally to see what he might be able chase- we are working on that. He is a pleaser. He is heartworm positive so we are currently going through the treatment. You learn a lot about the spirit - this is not easy for him but what a trooper he is. Somehow I know he understands the future is bright for him when we get past this. And he knows he's safe and well cared for. Flick will make a wonderful loving companion and friend. You should meet him! Flick could benefit from additional training when it comes to being a good walker (no chasing) and coming when his name is called. Hes getting better and better. When not preoccupied he is really fun to walk with. I think he would prefer to be the only dog in the house but he is gentle and kind to our little foster Lou who is a small breed puppy. Flick is a really great little buddy.
