Introducing Gambit - the name's not just a coincidence; it's a testament to my ability to shape my destiny. Just like my Marvel/X-Men namesake, I've overcome my past and now look forward to a brilliantly bright future. My journey started in a rather somber place - a lonely field next to a gas station. Thankfully, kind souls would drop by, leaving me food and their hopes for a better life. One day, a persistent and resourceful lady decided to play her "pawn" and orchestrated my escape from that grim existence. Since then, I've been living with her and her doggy (and human) family. But now, I'm eagerly searching for my own forever family. Let's talk quirks. I'm a cheerful guy, but I've got some personal space boundaries. I'm protective of my face, so a home with adults or older, dog-savvy kids is my ideal match. I'm also a bit of a goofball and adore the company of other dogs. Now, I might not instantly become your best buddy; I take time to trust and get comfortable in my surroundings. But trust me, the patience will be worth it. I'm brimming with love and loyalty, just waiting for the right family to share it with. Here's the good news - I'm house and crate trained, proving that, yes, young dogs can indeed learn new tricks. Oh, and there's more - I'm pretty chill around cats, though a gentle introduction is wise. And I've been curious and respectful around a human baby, so that's a plus. One thing to note, though, is that I've had some reservations around men. Despite two years together, I haven't quite warmed up to my human's fianc and have snapped at him a few times. So, it might be best if I find a home without men. During a short stay with Kathy, I was a little shy but kept to myself. If you're looking for a loyal companion with a dash of X-Men flair and you're ready to give me the chance I deserve, let's make it happen. Hello, I’m Iris! I love getting attention and enjoy lots of affection. So, pet me as much as you want. It’s even better if we cuddle and snuggle together. I enjoy taking naps on your lap. Sometimes I’ll whimper if you leave me alone for a bit. My whimpering doesn’t last long though. After a couple of minutes, I’ll find something else to do. I’m a fast learner and will do anything for a treat. I’m currently trying to learn how to potty train and can go for walks calmly. Iris is estimated to be 3 months old and 18 lbs. Since we don’t know the dog’s actual genetics, this is just a guess on breed and size when grown. All dogs have had a vet examination, are up to date on all vaccinations, have been given dewormer and heartworm prevention. Dogs over 7 months have been heartworm tested. Howdy! My name is Ira and I have a black spotted eye that makes me extra adorable. I’m a pretty chill pup and shy but you can find me quite playful and energetic sometimes. I’m empathetic and affectionate. I love treats, the outdoors, sniffing around, and digging up dirt. I know how to sit patiently for my food but sometimes I can’t hold in the excitement. Story
Bella is a 9.5 year old beagle mix in good health. She has all of the typical beagle traits. She loves sniffing around in the back yard and on walks, eating treats, and snuggling. Overall she is a loving dog who enjoys being by your side. She is a beagle that likes to bark at other animals but is pretty quiet inside. She loves people and is warm to anyone new (except the mail man). She’s never had an issue with children and tolerates crying, running, tantrums of children well. However, given her history, she would likely be a better pet for someone with older children or no children. She should not be in a home with other cats and dogs. Her ideal home would have a fenced in back yard or an owner who takes her on two walks a day. An important thing to know about her behavior is that she is a rescue. When we first got her she had resource guarding and leash aggression and had no skills (other than being house-trained) as an adult dog. After working with her for several years her main concern while walking on a leash is she barks and reacts to other dogs. However, since she is very treat-motivated and can be re-directed on walks with treats to reduce barking. She will have occasional resource guarding but it can be avoided with proper re-direction. She is house-trained and has all of the basic commands down (sit, down, stay, etc). Overall Bella is a loving and sweet girl. She is being rehomed because her current owners aren’t able to care for her as she deserves at this time. Please note that because we require a home visit at the time of adoption we can only place animals in homes within a 100-mile radius of Minneapolis. Meet Tom! He’s a 9 year old little tan beagle mix weighing about 35 pounds. He’s smaller than he looks in pictures! He’s super affectionate and sweet, and he loves kids. He’s fantastic with other dogs and loves to cuddle cats, too. Tom came to us because his owner became sick and unable to care for him. Tom is house trained and has good manners. Shaq is a loving, spunky and sassy beagle lab. Due to schedule and lifestyle changed I am no longer able to provide the adequate time and care that he Shaq deserves. He is a very high energy boy, and his favorite way to get this energy out is fetch or a long walk. Shaq is friendly with other dogs, however he can be a bit vocal upon meeting new ones. This however subsides rapidly once he is able to sniff/greet the other dog. He is able to live with other dogs, but he’s never been around cats and is much more suitable for being around older children. An ideal home for Shaq would have a fenced in back yard, and an owner who can give him enough time to get his energy out every day. Shaq is also a huge cuddler, so if you adopt him prepare to lose some personal space!!

We purchased Jasper as a 7-week-old puppy in January 2024 from a breeder in Wisconsin. He is a purebred beagle, and a copy of his litter certificate can be provided. Jasper is neutered and up-to-date with his rabies vaccine. Jasper is house-trained and great with kids. He is a very energetic dog who requires some open space to run around. We would love to find him a home where he will have more freedom to roam than we are currently able to provide him. He loves to follow his nose and play, so children or an additional energetic pet would be a great plus.

When Irish eyes are smiling, does that mean they are happy? Or maybe they had too many pints at the pub? My eyes are smiling, and I am a non drinker, just want to have full disclosure here! Even though my eyes were smiling in these pictures. I was desperate for help for my little one, Lewis. You see, he was dying...full of internal and external parasites he really had no fight left in him and I knew it as his mother... so I used my Irish eyes to get us saved. AND IT WORKED!! Our lives are do amazing now, Lewis is alive and well after some very intense care, and ADOPTED INTO AN AMAZING HOME!!! I am not ever producing more babies, so it is all good! Now I get my turn for love, comfort and safety and a FOREVER HOME!! I am an adorable girl, about 50# of low-rider basset/heeler-ness. I am great with other dogs and like to play keep away!
