Benny also loves kids and he's great with other dogs. Benny enjoys chasing, romping and wrestling with his resident dog friends. Benny's favorite activity (well besides getting belly rubs) is Sniffing! Sniff walks, hanging out in the fenced backyard and any scent activities and feeding puzzles are key to Benny's happiness. Due to his energy and intelligence, Benny will excel at any training classes, specific beagle activities and a fenced yard. Benny also Loves soft toys like stuffies and chew bones to chill out. Benny is great in a kennel and even sleeps in one with no issues. It's kind of his own personal bedroom when he needs time to relax. ABOUT ME “Joy” My name is Joy and am a Southern Bell from Alabama. I am a Beagle mix about 2 years old and reached my full size of 25 lbs. My personality is very sweet, happy and fun. I really like going for walks (all the smells out there), chewing on chew toys and running in the fenced backyard. I am very playful and like to do wind sprints before snuggling under blankets and playing with my toys. I am looking for a family to love and share my adventurous personality with. It takes a few minutes to get used to men, but after seeing I am safe… I am good to go!! Let me tell you what I am good at: I sleep in my kennel overnight, I love going on adventures, I love playing and I love snuggling! I would do great in a family with another playful dog and would do fine with older kids who like to play and take walks. My favorite hobbies are wrestling on the couch, chewing bones, moving shoes and sleeping on my human's lap… for hours. I like to wear my coat outside so I don't get cold. Hi! I am Belle! Look at how cute I am! I was a momma in Alabama and am getting used to my new surroundings here in Minnesota. I might be shy at first with new people, but once I am comfortable, I love to cuddle and I have been told that I am a very sweet girl. I love going for walks and sniffing all the smells outside. I don’t like the crate yet, but my foster is helping me get used to it. Hi! I'm Flick! I am from Alabama. From his foster: I have been fostering Flick for over a month. He is a gem. We call him our little Velcro boy. He has the biggest heart. You can see kindness in his eyes. He loves to cuddle up in your arms no matter where you are. Hes a snuggle bug. He loves his kennel. He is treat motivated and goes potty outside - he is learning how to tell us but for now we just take him out and it works great. A fenced yard would be perfect for him. He's a great walker however he does love to stop occasionally to see what he might be able chase- we are working on that. He is a pleaser. He is heartworm positive so we are currently going through the treatment. You learn a lot about the spirit - this is not easy for him but what a trooper he is. Somehow I know he understands the future is bright for him when we get past this. And he knows he's safe and well cared for. Flick will make a wonderful loving companion and friend. You should meet him! Flick could benefit from additional training when it comes to being a good walker (no chasing) and coming when his name is called. Hes getting better and better. When not preoccupied he is really fun to walk with. I think he would prefer to be the only dog in the house but he is gentle and kind to our little foster Lou who is a small breed puppy. Flick is a really great little buddy.

Hi! My name is Estefania and I am from Missouri. From her foster: Estefania is quite a mouth full to say so we have been calling her Eden and she responds well to that. She is going to be such a fun dog with the right family. Right now she is learning what a house is and all the noises that happen in a house, like a garbage disposal and vacuum. While these things give her pause she is acclimating to them. She loves our resident dog and is most confident when he's around. The cats were very curious creatures to begin with which induced some "beagle barks" as the resident kid calls them. She now steers clear of them most of the time. Since she is a bit timid she would do best in a house with older, quieter kids. She allows the resident kids to pet her at bedtime but she tends to stay hidden when they are moving about or too loud. She loves to rearrange their stuffed animals around the house. She has a silly, playful streak that is starting to shine. When it's bedtime she prefers to be in bed with her adults because it's so cozy. The kennel is a scary place which we are working to overcome. She is currently working on potty training too. We take her out on a leash but she isn't a huge fan of being on a leash yet so having a fenced yard where she can take the lead would help speed up the process. She loves people but is still learning to trust. She is going to be an amazing companion with a little patience.
