Story
Hi, my name is Mason and I am a beagle mix born 1/20/23. I have been in rescue since Halloween of 2022 and I am so ready to find a home I can call my own! Right now I live with my foster mom, my friend, the resident dog and a cat. I love my foster mom but my favorite person is a 12 yr old boy, whose name is Mason also. He comes to visit a lot and I give him all the love! I think I’d like to have kids live with me in my new home, we could run and play together. I do jump when excited so little ones might be a bit overwhelmed by me. Speaking of jumping, I am an amazing jumper. My foster mom thinks I could be trained for agility contests, cause I run fast, like to jump and she says I’m wiry. I’m not much of a ball chaser, but I will fetch a stick once in a while. My favorite outdoor activity is running and wrestling with my furry friend.  We also go on lots of walks, although I am not a leash fan, it hinders my exploring and smelling instincts. I will learn to accept it if that’s what you want me to do. I really do not like to be in a kennel, in fact I will find a way out one way or another. My foster mom lets me roam while she’s away and I’ve never chewed anything I’m not supposed to. I’m fully potty trained. I love food and treats, so much so that I’ve been known to counter surf if there is food where I can reach. I’m getting better about not doing it though. I love to go on car rides, but my tummy doesn’t. I have to take some pills before we go and then I’m good. I am very timid when I first meet someone and I will bark at you, but if you just give me a few minutes I’ll start warming up. I like to think I’m a fun little guy to have around and I’ve made my foster mom laugh lots at my goofy antics. Why don’t we meet and see if maybe we might have a love connection and you’ll want to take me home with you!   Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Story
This is Francis, she’s a Beagle born 12/7/23. Francis has come so far! From not letting us touch her at all the first two weeks to not wanting to let us out of her sight, she is definitely thriving. She loves all cats and wants to play and wrestle with them. Thankfully our cat is quite tolerant of her and likes to play back. She will stop if he yowls to let her know she's getting too rough. She's been around other dogs outside and will be curious for a bit and then ignore them and go about her business. Her favorite person is my boyfriend's 8 year old boy. She adores him! She will stand at the bedroom door when he is sleeping in, chase him all over and doesn't mind in the least when he picks her up in awkward positions and hauls her around. He is actually the reason why she finally warmed up to us. He came to visit for a weekend and that was it, no more shyness with us! Her favorite treat is popcorn - good luck keeping it to yourself and not sharing with her. We like to just throw a handful on the floor so she has to run around eating it... it takes her a little longer to get back to us to beg for more! We're still working on potty training...  though I truly believe the issues are more due to our living arrangement (apartment). If Francis were in a house where she could be kenneled during the day if her people aren't at home she does just fine - with the exception of barking the entire time she is in there when her people are gone. I can't say I blame her - she spent the first four months of her life in a kennel and has learned that life is much better when she can lounge on the couch and play with her cat friend. Francis has gotten to experience fenced in yards and trips up north to the cabin. She has been off leash outside at the cabin and doesn't go too much farther than the boundaries of the yard. I wouldn't suggest trying that though until she is very attached to you! She loves belly rubs and snuggling on the couch. She is still uncertain of new people and is not quick to warm up to others. Mostly that just means that when we have people over, she will go lay down in a corner and watch them.  She is more wary of teenage/young girls. She hasn't done anything (besides barking at them and rumbling a little) but she doesn't want anything to do with them. We suspect that it was a young girl in charge of her in her previous situation and that they perhaps weren't very nice to her. We’ve been calling her Daisy and she responds to it. She will be wary of you when you first get her, but with patience, she will warm up and be the best, snuggliest dog you could ask for!  Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Story
Meet Sebastian! Sebastian is a special kind of boy.  He has a pretty rough life that only he knows what happened.  He lost his eye due to some kind of blunt injury and it left him a bit skittish if he can see you.  He is the kind of boy that really loves to be one persons dog.  He does amazing with our whole family (5 of us) and other dogs.  But trust is something you earn with him.  He will need time to warm up and meet and greets do not always go well but if you give him a chance he will surprise you.  He loves to snuggle, does great in his kennel even though he does not need to be kenneled.  He is house broken, does great in the car and loves walks.  Sebastian deserves so much more than his past, but he will need the most amazing people to give him is future.  Will that be you? Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX , flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Story
Hi, my name is Deuce and I am an 8-week-old Beagle mix! I came all the way to Minnesota from Arkansas. Now that I’m living with my foster family, I love to run around and play tug of war with my dog sister (she is the best). I also live with my human foster siblings who are 3 and 6. They, too, are so much fun to chase around the house and yard. They love to pick me up and snuggle me, which I also love! I am kennel trained, I might let out a bark or two at first but I calm down really fast and keep my kennel clean all night. I start barking again as soon as I hear someone get home, but that is because I missed my people and want to play right away. I am working on potty training and my foster mom says that I’m doing really good, as long as she keeps me on a schedule of letting me out every 2-3 hours. But, I recently have started to bark or paw at the door to go outside! My foster mom works from home so I get to spend all day with her. We like to take walks together. I’m learning to use my leash, and I like to nap well she works. I love food and devour my food really fast, so my foster mom has been feeding me out of a slow-feeding bowl (she says it’s good to keep me busy for awhile). I am a low energy puppy and like to spend a majority of my day sleeping. I can’t wait to meet my furever family. I know that they will fall in love with me just as fast as my foster family did.  Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   Rambler is a Beagle/Lab/Terrier mix (we are guessing!) Who is oh so sweet and good natured. Rambler came to us from a background of hardship. We don't know the full story but was told part of one of his ears was shot off? Was he a stray in a rural area and was shot at? We are not sure, but he came to rescue pretty meek and frightened of humans.  He also came to rescue with heartworm. He was successfully treated for that and has been diligently kept on Heartguard (Tri Heart Plus) since then.  He also has made HUGE progress since being in rescue. He is now more trusting and happy and open. He is crate trained, potty trained, walks well on a leash and loves to be with other dogs.  We are looking for a home for him with another dog (it helps his confidence) and a fenced in yard.  Rambler is one of those "heart dogs" that just get to you as you watch them embrace the kind of life they were meant to live.  If you want to make a difference in Rambler's life by giving him a loving home, please fill out our form below! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   Sadie is the sweetest girl you will find! She is full of love, happiness, warmth and kisses! She wants to enjoy life with you and your family! Sadie would make an amazing family dog, or cool with a couple or solo person. She has a zest for life and would love all the fun, love, activity and companionship. She loves people and she loves to be outside in a yard, BUT she does need a 6 foot fence, as is capable of going over a 4 foot (or invisible fencing- well trained on it). She loves to go for walks (but dog park is her favorite) and she is a good snuggler! She is about 7 years old and about 41 lbs.  Sadie has a brightness to her you just can't deny! You have to meet her to understand. Sadie absolutely is a dog park dog and literally "flies like the wind" across the meadows. She looks like a low-flying bird (her nickname is "Birdie) or a gazelle and is so fun to watch. She is zippy, fast, agile, just bursts out with joy! You cannot help smiling and joining in her fun.  If you are interested in our sweet Sadie, please let us know!  She is great with dogs, (but is an alpha in some circumstances) people, kids, but no cats.  Adoption fee: $495 + Mn tax Interested in fostering or adopting?
