I came from da streets and so am still a timid boy and am slow to trust, but I want to it just takes time. I woof being outside and running around wif my fluffy fren and getting da zoomies out, but getting back in da house can sometimes be tricky as da outside is awesome! I woof all da treatos, but I especially woof da cheesy curds from Culver’s. I enjoy walkies, but I like to have the time to get the sniffs in so they sometimes take a while. Some of my issues, besides being timid, are I can be a little vocal, but no more than you’d expect from a regal beagle like myself and I am having some issue with understanding that potty is to be always done outside, but da foster hooman and I are working on this. I’m also a bit of a chewer, so make sure I have chews to help wif my nervous chewing so I don’t go after your socks, or toys, or cables, or anything else I can get my teefs on I’m not supposed to have. Hi, my name is Mason and I am a beagle mix born 1/20/23. Right now I live with my foster mom, my friend, the resident dog and a cat. I love my foster mom but my favorite person is a 12 yr old boy, whose name is Mason also. He comes to visit a lot and I give him all the love! I think I’d like to have kids live with me in my new home, we could run and play together. I do jump when excited so little ones might be a bit overwhelmed by me. Speaking of jumping, I am an amazing jumper. My foster mom thinks I could be trained for agility contests, cause I run fast, like to jump and she says I’m wiry. I’m not much of a ball chaser, but I will fetch a stick once in a while. My favorite outdoor activity is running and wrestling with my furry friend. We also go on lots of walks, although I am not a leash fan, it hinders my exploring and smelling instincts. I will learn to accept it if that’s what you want me to do. I really do not like to be in a kennel, in fact I will find a way out one way or another. My foster mom lets me roam while she’s away and I’ve never chewed anything I’m not supposed to. I’m fully potty trained. I love food and treats, so much so that I’ve been known to counter surf if there is food where I can reach. I’m getting better about not doing it though. I love to go on car rides, but my tummy doesn’t. I have to take some pills before we go and then I’m good. I am very timid when I first meet someone and I will bark at you, but if you just give me a few minutes I’ll start warming up. I like to think I’m a fun little guy to have around and I’ve made my foster mom laugh lots at my goofy antics. Rambler came to us from a background of hardship. We don't know the full story but was told part of one of his ears was shot off? Was he a stray in a rural area and was shot at? We are not sure, but he came to rescue pretty meek and frightened of humans. He also came to rescue with heartworm. He was successfully treated for that and has been diligently kept on Heartguard (Tri Heart Plus) since then. He also has made HUGE progress since being in rescue. He is now more trusting and happy and open. He is crate trained, potty trained, walks well on a leash and loves to be with other dogs. We are looking for a home for him with another dog (it helps his confidence) and a fenced in yard. Lulu is approx 8 years old and around 30 lbs. She’s very friendly, good with other dogs, good with cats. She’s affectionate, sweet, and friendly. Benny is currently being fostered with young kids, cats, a senior small dog, and a large breed puppy. Benny is the perfect blend of curiosity, playfulness, and affection! His Beagle side gives him an inquisitive nature, and his Basset side adds a relaxed and cuddly temperament. We aren’t 100% sure of Benny’s story, but he was fostered in a home with other dogs before coming to MN. Benny is still trying to learn his role in his pack, so if there are other dogs in the home, we do recommend feeding separately. He does have a little attitude when it comes to other dogs trying to take his chews or food, but once he learns that he can trust everyone - he settles down. Benny is still working on potty training, and does well on a schedule and with treats! His foster mom works from home and is trying to help him learn to jingle a bell to go potty. (Smart AND Handsome!) He is still working on crate training, but once he is comfortable, enjoying a chew, and everything is quiet, he settles in for a nap. Benny would thrive in an active home where he can enjoy daily walks, training sessions, plenty of playtime, and cuddle sessions on the couch. Charlotte (approx 11mos & 25lbs) is a very sweet and playful little lady who loves to frolic with the other dogs in her foster home. She warmed up to her foster humans and dog-friends in just a couple days! Though initially cautious of doorways and going in and outside at first, she now follows the other pups in & outside and is gaining confidence. Charlotte’s potty training is still a work in progress - but since her foster mom works from home and keeps her on a schedule and looks for cues, it’s getting better every day! Since Charlotte is still a young pup, when she meets someone new she is learning how not to jump up, and piddle a little bit in excitement. Charlotte stays out around the house for most of the day, but does go in her kennel for night-time. She does pretty well and calms down and falls asleep once the lights are off and everyone is in bed. Charlotte loves treats, toys, bones, chew toys and stuffed animals with a squeaker, so she keeps herself pretty entertained during the day. She is still learning how to walk on a leash, but will get there with some patience and a bag of treats on every walk! Once Charlotte warms up to you, she will be your best snuggle buddy for movie nights or couch naps! Charlotte hasn’t had the chance to meet kids or cats yet, but definitely needs another dog around to play and learn from in her forever home.
