Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Jeremy is a lively and playful pup with a touch of mischief and a heart full of affection. His days are all about the classic puppy routine—eating, napping, and nonstop play. When he gets excited, he does an endearing little hop, and his playful noises only add to his charm. Whether he’s wrestling with canine friends or entertaining himself with toys, Jeremy thrives when he’s active. He’s still mastering the ins and outs of puppy life, but his sweet nature and energetic spirit make him a delight to be around. If you’re looking for a fun-loving companion who will keep you smiling, Jeremy might be the perfect match! Jeremy is from Texas.  If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Simea is from Texas.  She is a sweet playful pup who    is looking    for a nice soft spot to land here in Minnesota.  She would love a home with children to grow up with.  A home that will take her on daily walks to explore her new home by smelling allll the things.. lol. But in all honesty she really just wants someone    that    is going to love her half as much as she loves them!   Simea is not fully potty trained.. but what young puppy is?  Potty training is all about consistency.  Finding a schedule that works for both of you and sticking to it.  Puppies operate on a sleep, eat, play, poop schedule.  When they wake in the morning, first thing is a potty break outside.. then back inside for breakfast and a little play time.  About 30 minutes after eating, take your pup back outside to do their business.  Make sure that you are giving them enough time outside (15-20 minutes is    usually    adequate) to do their business.. puppies get distracted so easily, so try not to make this trip about playing.. just let them wander independently until they find "the perfect spot" as they say.  Repeat this after their dinner, as well as letting them out to potty roughly every 4 hours throughout the day.   Simea is also not yet Kennel trained, as she has been kept with her siblings in an Ex Pen (Exercise pen).  Kennel training a young dog is actually pretty simple though.  Place an open kennel in the room your family spends the most time in.  Feed them all    their meals there as well as any high value treats.  while they are in the kennel, shut the door for short periods of time.. starting at 1minute and    working    up to sleeping there at night.  If your pup has issues settling    for the    night, covering their kennel with a light blanket will usually help.   If you think that you would be the perfect match for this sweet pup, please fill out an adoption application today!  She can't wait to meet you!   If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Pedro – The Speed-Eating Snugglebug Pedro entered the world in the laundry room after his stray mama was rescued from a parking lot, and he’s been making life more entertaining ever since. This little guy is all puppy—playful, full of energy, and ready to be your best friend. He loves toys, zooming around, and mealtime (maybe too much—he’s the fastest eater in the litter and will happily help himself to his siblings’ bowls if given the chance!). Potty training? Not quite there yet—he’s got the potty pad thing down but still needs guidance for outdoor training. If you’re looking for a fun, playful pup who will keep you laughing (and make sure no kibble goes to waste), Pedro might just be the perfect addition to your family! Pedro is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 2/21/2025 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 9am and noon. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame.  Since they haven’t arrived yet, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start’s Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program. Click here to learn more about the FTA program. Once they get to Minnesota, they might require further veterinary care. Ruff Start’s veterinary suite is located in Princeton, MN, and, as the foster, you will be required to transport your dog to and from these vetting appointments. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Martin – The Eyebrow King Martin has been stealing hearts since day one—literally, he was born in the laundry room after his stray mama was rescued from a parking lot. Now, at 11 weeks old, he’s a playful little guy with big energy and even bigger personality. Oh, and did we mention the eyebrows? He’s the only one in his litter with a set of adorable, expressive brows that make him look permanently curious. He loves toys, zooming around, and making friends with everyone he meets. He’s still figuring out potty training (he’s got the potty pad part down, but the outside thing is a work in progress). Like any young pup, he’ll need someone ready to guide him with patience and love. If you’re looking for a spunky, playful pup with a face full of character, Martin might just be your guy! Martin is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 2/21/2025 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Prin ceton, MN between the hours of 9am and noon.
