Story
Female, 10 years old, 28 lbs. Personality: smart, calm, quiet, curious, adaptable, easygoing, and gentle. Hi, I'm Sammy, a mellow and stately senior lady looking for love! Given my maturity and intellect, I have developed a calm and gentle demeanor that makes me your ideal companion. I love to go on walks, but I also know that some of the most important things are a good treat and a comfortable spot to get an ear scratch. I am great with humans of all ages, even toddlers. My quiet nature extends to home, where I rarely bark and will make myself comfortable in my crate. There's a lot to love about me, from the funny little zoomies I occasionally get, to my loyal nature. Not to mention that I know to go to "do my business" outside, and have figured out the word "sit". I hope you will apply to meet me. There is no need for me to put on my best behavior because I exhibit that all the time! I would love to go on a short date followed by a treat and a good ear scratch. Let's go! Sammy was saved by Madison and Joel Peralta in honor of Junebug, their beloved CDCK senior rescue, who epitomized the power of second chances. She loved, and is loved and missed in turn, very fiercely. If you are interested in meeting a dog or cat, we require an adoption application. If the animal has "HAS APPLICATION" listed, they are still available to receive additional applications but also may be in the process of being adopted soon. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model). Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us. Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP, Lepto and Bordetella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis. Most cats and dogs will have a house-training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.

Story
Make, 8 years old, 21.5 lbs. Personality: Patient, calm, gentle, and shy. Bowser is a true gentleman! This mature beagle carries a calming, quiet presence as he explores the world. Though he can be a bit shy at first, Bowser warms up with patience and shows an intuitive understanding of his human's routines. A country boy at heart, Bowser is still adjusting to the sights and sounds of city life but handles it with bravery, especially on leisurely walks where he can indulge his beagle nose with plenty of sniffing. This kind-hearted fellow is the ideal work-from-home companion. He spends most of his day peacefully napping beside his foster mom's desk, only perking up when it's mealtime-his favorite part of the day! While he's still getting used to life indoors and isn't quite a snuggler yet, Bowser's love for treats and gentle encouragement are steadily helping him settle into his new surroundings. He's wonderfully independent, doesn't bark or whine when left alone, and does well without a crate, simply curling up for a nap until you return. Bowser is friendly toward other dogs and with children he meets on his walks, although he remains politely reserved around new people. His confidence is growing every day, and Bowser's sweet spirit and laid-back attitude will make him a loyal and calming addition to any home. Apply today to meet him! Story
Hi everyone my name is Gretchen and I am a three to four-year-old purebred Beagle girl that weighs 35 lb and I found myself homeless in a small town in Tennessee. People said that I was roaming the neighborhood for a while and no one knew who I belonged to. The shelter found Critter Cavalry Rescue to take me and I am looking for a home with a retired man because Critter Cavalry has found that I probably was abused by a woman.  I can be nice to them but I don't want to live with them.   They intimidate me and I am truly very fond of a man's attention.  I am good with other dogs and can hang out with and be best friends forever. I love people and I am friends with every dog and cat that I meet. As you can see, I am a happy girl and they tell me that I'm quite pretty too. No one knows much about me except that I have a sweet smile, a great personality and I love people that let me snuggle with them. I promise that I will be your cuddly snuggle bug and your best friend forever. I am looking for a Beagle loving home. I would welcome children as a part of my life and I can live with other dogs and even cats. They have tested me with everything and said I'm pretty perfect. If you are interested please write immediately to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comNovember 7, 2024, 10:11 pm
