Story
Say hello to Deja, a playful, sweet four-month-old puppy with a gorgeous black coat and white accents! Just like her sister, she's got that Beagle curiosity and loves to follow her nose to the next adventure (or treat!). Deja is treat-motivated, eager to learn, and always ready to please, making her a fantastic candidate for training. This little lovebug is happiest when she's close to her people, whether it's playing in the yard or curling up for a cozy snuggle. Deja is looking for a family that will give her the love and patience she needs to build her confidence and trust. With a secure fenced-in yard and lots of affection, Deja will grow into the loyal, fun-loving companion you've been searching for! Ready to add some puppy joy to your life? Deja can't wait to meet you! The adoption fee for this dog is $425 which includes routine vetting and spay/neuter. PetConnect Rescue cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. Story
Zabrina is overflowing with personality. This little cutie is ready to pack her bags and head to her new home. She and her siblings have had an awesome mother who has tended them to perfection. They are well socialized, happy and healthy. Zabrina is well on her way to understanding the whole potty training gig and is ready to please. She is crate trained and good with kids, cats and other dogs. Momma is 20 lbs and potentially a chichi/pointer mix. She is amazing and very friendly. Daddy's stats are unknown, however he was certainly larger than 20 lbs. The adoption fee for this puppy is $475, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. A $250 spay/neuter deposit is required at time of adoption. This fee covers spay/neuter at one of PetConnect's preferred veterinary partners. If the adopter chooses to use their own veterinarian, the deposit will be returned with proof of sterilization. PetConnect Rescue cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and the general appearance of the animal at the time they enter our system. Story
Don't let the concerned look on Liberty's face fool you! We have diagnosed him with "resting worry face," but he's not so worried anymore. We think it's his concentrating face, actually. Liberty lived most of his life under a porch until recently and he is totally blind. There is a lot to take in and think about in this world of freedom and concentration is key. That adorable face is evidence of a lot of processing. The good news? He LOVES freedom! He loves being in a house, getting treats, and just hanging out near humans. He is turning into the best possible work from home companion and has done beautifully with others dogs- large and small. He loves belly rubs, all food, and ear sritches. The bad news? There is none!! It's all good. He is gentle, curious, confident enough to explore strange places with his excellent nose and always happy to hear a human voice. This one has "soul dog" potential, for real. Worried about caring for a blind dog? PetConnect can help! We are happy to help you through it and support Liberty in his next transition. Liberty would benefit from a calm helper dog in his new home, but he is so people-focused, we think he will do find without a dog as well. He is still learning stairs and has almost mastered the "up" part. The "down" part is a work in progress. He is willing to learn with treats and it is so rewarding to see his progress. Reach out today to learn more about Liberty! Email bhutcherson@petconnectrescue.org. Liberty is neutered and up-to-date on vaccines. The adoption fee for this dog is $425 which includes routine vetting, spay/neuter, heartworm and other parasite testing. He has been started on monthly flea/ tick and heartworm preventatives as well. **If you're viewing this on Petfinder, please visit www.petconnectrescue.org to complete our non-binding application.**

If you are interested in adopting this dog,  please fill out an Adoption Questionnaire at  https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/43315/genericYou can learn about the adoption process http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/howtoadopt/.Dog's Name:   Archie  (ARC0821OWSMN)Estimated Breed:    Beagle/FeistApproximate Age:   6-7 yearsApproximate Weight:  45 lbs Currently Living at:  BoardingAdoption Fee:  $400DOG'S DESCRIPTION:  Hi, I'm Archie! I've been waiting a LONG time to find my forever home. I absolutely LOVE all people, adults, kids - everyone - but I am a people dog, not a dog's dog. In other words, I prefer to be your ONE an ONLY as I have so much love to give! I have been in a foster home (where I thrived and was quite well behaved, even housetrained), and I went through some leash training but my fosters were getting busy and could not keep me. I really miss being in a home, so I am hoping that someone who is looking for an older but still active dog would adopt me!  I'd be a great companion for anyone with a fenced yard (I love to enjoy nature) and who also enjoys a good cuddle on the couch! I am very strong on leash, and since I do react to other dogs, I am really quite content to have the run of a nice fenced yard, and your devoted love an attention! If I sound like a dream to you, please come meet my adorable smile! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.        Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (for dogs over 6 months old), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets. Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home. For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSponsor Me!
