Charlie walks great on a leash, but like any typical Beagle, his nose never leaves the ground. He is extremely sweet natured, and plays well with his four legged foster siblings. Tofu was recently returned to the shelter because he was not the right fit for his adoptive home. Tofu is a happy guy that weighs around 16 pounds. He arrived at the shelter, and it was quite evident that there was something wrong with his tail. It was broken in two places and had to be removed. This certainly does not affect Tofu in anyway his butt may wiggle a bit more when wagging his tail though. Tofu would love to find his loving forever home soon! Olivia was adopted from the shelter in February 2022. She turned 2 in December, 2024. At the shelter, she was listed as a Beagle mix and may be a beagle and jack Russell terrier cross. Olivia needs an experienced owner and preferably an owner familiar with Jack Russell/terrier dogs. Olivia needs an owner that can be calm and consistent in her training and in her aggression related to resource guarding behavior. Olivia has had bite incidents, but there have been no bites since November 2023. Olivia is a sweet dog who loves snuggling and attention. She is smart and learns quickly. She rides great in the car. She is calm and content at home during the work day confined to the bedroom with a baby gate up and has never been destructive when left alone. Olivia would thrive with an active owner and adults only household. She is hit or miss with other dogs, but has played well in the past with large dogs and seems to get along well with small male dogs.

They had been keeping her in a pen outside 24 hours a day, despite their claims that she has grass allergies. What really seemed to be happening to poor Chickie was a bad flea infestation, untreated, that left her with half of her hair missing. After months of treatment and medications, her skin is healthy but it appears her hair will never grow back. We give her Apoquel for itching but she is otherwise in good overall health. &#226&#128&#139 Chickie has put her years of neglect behind her: she is happy in foster care and is a pretty easy girl. Although she is friendly and has never snapped or even growled at anyone, she is still a little head shy and would do best in a home without small children. She does very well with dogs of all sizes, but should be placed in a home without cats. What she really wants is a place where she can get a nice mix of her own space (with her favorite toy football to play with), and attention in the form of walks and snacks. Chickie is crate trained but will need a reminder course on house training.
