Sally is a little bundle of beagle love.  She loves people and dogs.  Being a typical beagle she also loves walks and lots of sniffing!  She is 2 years old and 22 pounds.  Sally has been living in a home and is currently fostered.  She is housetrained but will need a refresher when she moves to her forever home.   Sally will fit well into many types of families.  If you have room for a small sweet little girl come meet Sally at one of our adoption shows. Story
Roxi is a sweet 4 year old Beagle Mix. She loves to go on walks and chase balls. While timid at first, she warms up easily to people if you give her a treat. She has a lot of anxiety which we’ve tried to manage but have failed to do so. She gets extremely scared during rain, storms, etc. We love Roxi but do not have the time she needs to properly manage her anxiousness.

Story
Stevie was born April 16, 2017 in FL. I’ve had him since he was a month old. He has grown on me. I hate to let him go. He needs room to run and he will be fine. He approaches and lays his head on my lap when he wants food, water, or needs to relieve himself. He is protective and I would advise someone with time to spend loving him. He is very sensitive and will hide when he thinks he is in trouble or has done something mischievous. lHe “cuddles” when I cry. This is the hardest decision I have ever made and I need to know he is safe.

Story
Woof! Hey there, I’m Snoop, the ultimate canine companion you’ve been searching for! If you’re looking for a dog who’s as friendly as they come, well, you’ve hit the jackpot with me. First things first, let’s talk about my personality. I’m basically a walking ray of sunshine! Whether you’re young or young-at-heart, human or furry, I get along with everyone (although I don’t have much experience with cats and have not made up my mind about them). Seriously, put me in a room full of strangers, and I’ll make friends with every single one before you can say “fetch!” Now, let’s talk skills. I am a pro at “sit,” getting belly rubs, and cuddling on the couch for Netflix binges. I also am very calm and mild-mannered when waiting for my human to feed me. When I’m not charming the socks off everyone I meet, you’ll probably find me running around my backyard, sniffing and exploring, and chasing squirrels up trees. I love to take walks with my human around the block twice a day – my daily walk is my version of reading the newspaper! One thing I love maybe a little too much is my stuffed animals. Sometimes I get so carried away that I eat the fabric and try to eat the squeakers, which can be very dangerous for my intestinal system. So, I have to be supervised with my toys and only given stuffies that I won’t rip to shreds immediately! A long time ago, I hurt my leg and it caused both my knee and hip to be bad. Because of that, they had to remove it, but no worries, I have three others! I get around just fine for the most part (going down stairs sometimes can be a bit tricky) and don’t really miss it. So, what do you say? Ready to welcome a lovable goofball like me into your home? Come on down to meet me, Snoop, and let’s start our adventure together. I promise, your days will be brighter with a Snoop by your side! My Profile Age and weight: I'm 5 years old and weigh 28 pounds Good with kids: Yes, kids over 12 Good with dogs: Yes Good with cats: Unknown Fenced yard: Preferred Suitable for townhouse and/or apartment: Yes, as long as there aren't too many stairs House trained: Yes. Crate trained: Yes Barks when left alone: I’ll bark when you leave, but then I’ll settle down Chews inappropriate items: No Training: I know sit, but my foster mom says I need to work on other commands, like come when called Activity level: Medium Meet Me If you are interested in Snoop, consider letting us know by filling out a (no-obligation) adoption application at pgspca.org. Please consult our Adoption FAQ before contacting us. Please check the adoption-show-attendees page to see if Snoop will be attending the next adoption show. NOTE: We are an all volunteer group and do not operate a shelter. All of our animals are in foster homes. We are unable to place our animals outside of the Baltimore/DC area.

Story
Suki loves to cuddle up near her human all day if allowed, getting all the attention she can get. She enjoys going on my deck to lay in the sun. She can be very destructive when left alone, however. She barks and pulls when she sees other dogs walking with their owner but gets along with some dogs when she’s at the pet sitter’s house. She also doesn’t care for strangers to run past us while walking. It took two to two-and-a-half months for her to co-exist with our cat. She does sometime chase the cat and the cat sometimes will paw her on the head or butt, but she doesn’t try to attack the cat. She loves digging in trash to find leftovers and will eat food while on walks if not careful. She feels threatened near tools, especially lawn mowers, drills or anything she feels is dangerous. Overall, she’s a loving dog but due to declining health issues, I’m unable to give her the attention she deserves and needs. As a result, I’d like to find her a loving home with someone who can give her lots of attention. My Profile Age: 2 years Weight: 33 pounds Good with kids: Yes, kids over 5 years old Good with dogs: Some dogs Good with cats: Yes. Although sometimes a bit too interested. Fenced yard: Yes Suitable for townhouse and/or apartment: I could live in a townhouse, but not an apartment House trained: Yes. Crate trained: I'm okay in a crate as long as someone is around Barks when left alone: I’ll bark when you leave, but then I’ll settle down Chews inappropriate items: Yes, when left unattended Activity level: Low Meet Me If you are interested in meeting Suki, or would like more information about her, email Tasha at ttharrison00@aol.com

I've been waiting a LONG time to find my forever home. I absolutely LOVE all people, adults, kids - everyone - but I am a people dog, not a dog's dog. In other words, I prefer to be your ONE an ONLY as I have so much love to give! I have been in a foster home (where I thrived and was quite well behaved, even housetrained), and I went through some leash training but my fosters were getting busy and could not keep me. I really miss being in a home, so I am hoping that someone who is looking for an older but still active dog would adopt me!  I'd be a great companion for anyone with a fenced yard (I love to enjoy nature) and who also enjoys a good cuddle on the couch! I am very strong on leash, and since I do react to other dogs, I am really quite content to have the run of a nice fenced yard, and your devoted love an attention! If I sound like a dream to you, please come meet my adorable smile! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.        Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (for dogs over 6 months old), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets. Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home. For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSponsor Me!
