Olivia was adopted from the shelter in February 2022. She turned 2 in December, 2024. At the shelter, she was listed as a Beagle mix and may be a beagle and jack Russell terrier cross. Olivia needs an experienced owner and preferably an owner familiar with Jack Russell/terrier dogs. Olivia needs an owner that can be calm and consistent in her training and in her aggression related to resource guarding behavior. Olivia has had bite incidents, but there have been no bites since November 2023. Olivia is a sweet dog who loves snuggling and attention. She is smart and learns quickly. She rides great in the car. She is calm and content at home during the work day confined to the bedroom with a baby gate up and has never been destructive when left alone. Olivia would thrive with an active owner and adults only household. She is hit or miss with other dogs, but has played well in the past with large dogs and seems to get along well with small male dogs.

Stumpy is living in a very rural area with a family that asked for help in finding him a new home. He's used to living a family life with children and loves the children. He would be best as an only dog. He's a mixed dog but a popular mix, called a Bassador. The Bassador temperament can vary a lot depending on whether they take after their Lab or Basset Hound parent more. Generally, they are sociable and loving. We are fortunate to know how Stumpy has done, living with a family. Bassadors love attention, especially from their favorite person. If you want a dog with a very unique look who’s loyal to a fault, the Bassador could be the dog for you! Stumpy's adoption fee is $350 to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption.
