Story
ADOPT ME ONLINE: https://ophrescue.org/dogs/14179Name: ForkyGender: MaleBreed: Beagle MixAge: Estimated 5 years oldWeight: 27 poundsCurrent Location: Baltimore, MDMeet Forky, a sweet boy whose love of lounging is matched by his love of exploring the outdoors on a nice walk. Personality: Forky is a fun boy who loves playing with toys, chewing bones, and receiving snuggles. Special Considerations: Forky would thrive in a home where he can have a mix of physical/mental stimulation as well as downtime. While he is not overly loud, he certainly has that Beagle howl when he feels like letting out his voice. He is a curious boy, so it is a good idea to have eyes on him until he understands the rules. Companionship: Forky is a wonderful companion for both humans and pups. He is happy to simply coexist or play with the dogs around him. Training and Learning: Forky loves being outside on walks and has good leash manners. He appears to be mostly potty trained as long as you pay attention to his needs, and so far has done very well in the crate, both during the day and overnight. He is working on basic commands such as "sit." He is a curious boy who needs supervision at this time, but is happy to hang out in his crate if you need to get some things done around the house.Love and Affection: Forky enjoys snuggling on the couch close to his humans, and he lives for getting his head scratched. It is clear that he wants to be loved.Forky is looking for his forever home where a new family will cherish his sweet personality and companionship. This dog tested positive for heartworm disease before arriving to the rescue. The disease was treated while in foster care. Heartworm disease is transmitted to a dog through a bite from an infected mosquito. With monthly preventatives, the disease is completely preventable. Read about heartworm disease here: Read more about heartworm disease hereThis pet is expected to arrive at an Operation Paws for Homes Foster Home soon. If you are interested in adoption, please submit your application so that you may be pre-approved prior to arrival. All pets must be granted a Health Certificate in order to cross state lines and come to the rescue. Obtaining the health certificate is largely dependent on veterinary resources at the originating animal shelter so some pets may not arrive as planned.

Story
The name is Hoku meaning star in Hawaiian. Born on August 13 2023 and is now two years old. My family got him from this couple who breeds dogs in Pennsylvania. Hoku is part beagle and lab. Hoku is a dog that has a lot of energy loves to walk/run. He is not house trained yet so he has to stay in a cage when not supervised. If someone’s at home hoku is good as long as he’s been walked. He typically needs to be walked for 30 min to an hour at least 3 times a day. He loves to play and is good with other dogs. Overall Hoku is a very friendly dog. For those interested in Hoku I just wanna make sure that you are set on taking the responsibility. Making sure that he’s being walked, fed, cared for and is loved by those around him. He’s a very energetic dog that still needs a little bit of training. And I know this is a lot to ask but it would be better if the one who’ll take care of him has a backyard he loves the nature and is very energetic.

Story
Hi everyone my name is Gretchen and I am a three to four-year-old purebred Beagle girl that weighs 35 lb and I found myself homeless in a small town in Tennessee. People said that I was roaming the neighborhood for a while and no one knew who I belonged to. The shelter found Critter Cavalry Rescue to take me and I am looking for a home with a retired man because Critter Cavalry has found that I probably was abused by a woman.  I can be nice to them but I don't want to live with them.   They intimidate me and I am truly very fond of a man's attention.  I am good with other dogs and can hang out with and be best friends forever. I love people and I am friends with every dog and cat that I meet. As you can see, I am a happy girl and they tell me that I'm quite pretty too. No one knows much about me except that I have a sweet smile, a great personality and I love people that let me snuggle with them. I promise that I will be your cuddly snuggle bug and your best friend forever. I am looking for a Beagle loving home. I would welcome children as a part of my life and I can live with other dogs and even cats. They have tested me with everything and said I'm pretty perfect. If you are interested please write immediately to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comNovember 7, 2024, 10:11 pm

Story
Meet Jethro, this poor baby was dumped in a corn field where he lived for several weeks. Folks in the area tried to catch him but to no avail so they would leave food and water for him daily. Someone had finally contacted us so we headed out with our trap and caught him on the first night. It appeared that Jethro had never been around people and he was very very shy. He has come a long way but still needs work, this is why getting him into a permanent home is very important. He's the sweetest boy ever and has the most awesome Beagle howl that you have ever heard! In order to adopt him, YOU MUST HAVE A SECURE FENCED YARD! He has been neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped and he is crate trained. He truly is a little gem! PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE LOCATED IN TENNESSEE AND YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MEET OUR PETS PRIOR TO ADOPTION! ADOPTION FEE: $500

Story
This adorable 5 yr. Old, 32 pound Beagle girl is called Cozy, and she is just that, 'cozy', when it's time to settle in and snuggle while watching TV or just hanging out with you. as you work on the computer or read a book. She found herself in a very nice but small town shelter in Tennessee. And they are crazy about this sweet Beagle girl. She is such a well-rounded dog justi as we know beagles are.  She hangs on your every word and every kind gesture.   She adores people and attention, and will gladly learn commands.  We have found her to be wonderful with all other dogs and cats that she meets. She, of course, has her nose to the ground as she inspects any new areas of the playyard.  We think she is pretty much housebroken, and we know that she is smart.  Critter Cavalry would love to take her underwing and find an adopter, but first we need a foster home to place her with  or maybe we just can skip thaat part and have her go straight to an adopter!  Cozy needs out of the shelter.  Can you help our rescue? Take her out soon?   Please get in touch with us via email or text 615 661 5333  and email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com.   help us free Cozy!
