Meet Tilly This pretty young girl, Tilly, is a ray of sunshine. She is a happy girl, who loves people and other dogs. Tilly is about a year old. She looks to be a beagle/pointer mix. She is of medium size with a pretty white coat with patches. She has deep brown, laughing eyes and a wide smile. Tilly has an upbeat, energetic personality. She loves to play. Her favorite games are fetching and tag. She’d do great with another active dog in the home or with an active family. She is bouncy and silly, friendly, affectionate, outgoing and confident. Tilly loves attention loves to be with people and is never so happy as when she is outside playing. She walks easily on a leash and a nice stroll does her good. Story
St. Roch, now Rocky, was adopted by a loving family and returned to us through no fault of his own. Rocky turned 3 in October 2024 and is: crate trained, house broken, leash trained, good with children, dogs large and small, calm during thunderstorms, and knows his basic commands. His fur is so SOFT, you won’t believe how soft fur can be until you pet him. Rocky is playful by with other dogs by nature so living with a playful brother or sister would be a plus but not required. Rocky is a phenomenal riding companion and remains chill even with windows down at bustling gas stations. Rocky does have one quirk, however, that will require a special fit home. He does not do well in large gathering or party environments. Rocky likes his peace and quiet at home, maybe that ‘s his secret to staying so cool headed when on the go? Possibly!?  While Rocky will certainly oblige an occasional house party by hiding in a bedroom, he won’t be making his rounds to say hello to guests. We want to see Rocky find a furever home where his family values quiet living as much as he does. Once he warms up to you, you will find yourself with the sweetest, smartest, and most loving companion you could ask for.  This is his family's story:   These adorable puppies were born to a stray mom and lived their first three weeks snuggled together in an old out building. No one knew they were there but the locals knew Momma, Joanie had given birth. We don't know how she was able to feed 8 littles as she at the mercy of folks leaving her scraps from a local cafe. When Joanie was finally caught and her babies found, they were taken to a loving foster home. Once she knew she was safe, she became a totally different dog and seemed so grateful for lovies and all the food she could eat to continue caring for her precious babies who are called The Saints: Joan of Arc and her 8 littles: Stella Maris, St. Christina, St. Angelina, St. Jude, St. Blaise, St. Hugh, St. Roch, St. Francis (3 girls & 5 boys)!! They were born around October 15th, 2021. We believe Joan to be a Beagle/Lab mix who weighs 40lbs and dad to be a black & tan coonhound who weighs approximately 50lbs so the puppies should be medium sized doggos. Roch is the same beautiful red color as his mom, Joan.  He, like his siblings is a sweetheart.  Submit your application to meet/foster/adopt Rocky!! www.dirtroaddoggiesrescue.org ##1281846##

Story
Hi, I’m Michelle. I lived most of my life as an outside dog on a chain. I had a litter of pups sometime recently and I am only about 2 years old. One day, I broke free from my chain and came to my foster Mom’s house. She took me in and let me live with my foster siblings. My owners decided not to take me back and that made me happy, because I love my new life. My foster Mom worked with the local shelter to have me fixed, chipped, and vaccinated. I am ready for adoption and looking for a home by Christmas. Things that make me special are I am very aware of emotions and like to comfort my Mom and other dogs when they are sad. Even though I’m young, I am very relaxed and enjoy sitting anytime my humans are relaxing. I am a sensitive girl and love to please my owners, so I learn easily and am obedient. I love other dogs and love to play with them, but I love humans more and would be okay as an only dog too. All I want is to be loved and snuggled. I don’t even beg for food!

Story
Kenzi is a 14 month old female Beagle-Chihuahua mix. She weighs about 14 pounds and is great with kids, cats and other dogs. Kenzi lost her former home because the kids lost interest in her, and the adults are too busy to play with her. Her former family felt bad that Kenzi was being ignored, so they decided to give her up so she could find a more suitable living arrangement. Kenzi is a cuddle bug and very social with everyone. She is house trained and crate trained. At 14 pounds, she is a good size for kids older than 8 years of age and adults of any age. If you are interested in adopting this darling pup named Kenzi, please write to us at PricelessPoochRescue@gmail.com and ask for an application to adopt Kenzi. We'll send you the form and as soon as you send it back, we will get in touch with you about meeting Kenzi in person. We live in far western North Carolina, about 2 hours from Asheville, Atlanta and Chattanooga. We have wheels and can travel to meet you if necessary. Kenzi has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and is heartworm-free. Her adoption fee is $250
