Story
A SWEET & FRIENDLY GIRL: Approx. 10 years old / Approx. 36 lbs. Hello – I’m Honeybun!  Mostly Mutts rescued me from animal control, and I’m so grateful to be part of the MM family. I’m currently in a wonderful foster home enjoying life while I wait for the day someone comes along and chooses me to be their very own. • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I enjoyed hanging out with two dogs in one of my temp. foster homes as well as playing with some dogs I met at the Mostly Mutts shelter, so if you have a nice doggie at home already, let’s meet! / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I was a bit scared when I arrived at the shelter but began to blossom quickly.  Then the weather got really cold and there was an ‘all call’ for temporary fosters to host us until the weather passed, I went to a nice home and gained even more confidence there and had a great time, too!  I have a quiet and gentle nature, and my foster said I am ‘just a lovely dog’ who will be a great addition to a lucky family. With my cute little face, I am ready to charm my new family and live a great life with them. / My energy level is 6-7 so I have pep in my step at 10 years old. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I know the ‘sit’ and ‘come’ commands and walk well on my leash, too.  Let's continue my training together with the free lifetime training classes that Mostly Mutts offers for all their adopted dogs! / My crate manners have been good at Mostly Mutts and in my temp. foster homes, too. / My potty habits have been good on the shelter schedule with only a few accidents, and they were good in my temp. foster homes. • LIKES/DISLIKES:  My favorite thing is being with my people.  Whether we are enjoying a nice walk or cuddling on the couch, I treasure those times.  I love to be in a lap, so make room for me, and let’s cuddle!  I also enjoy playing fetch and throwing my toys up in the air when I play. / I was VERY nervous during the car ride from the shelter to my foster home.  Otherwise, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed.  I had a good dental cleaning and a few teeth removed, so my mouth is fresh again.  I also had a large tumor removed from my right hind quarter, so that feels better!  Just ask about it. I am looking for a wonderful home with a loving family!  My adoption fee is $100.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  March 9, 2026, 5:57 am

Story
A SWEET LITTLE FELLOW:  Approx. 2 years old / Approx. 15 lbs. Hi, my name is Sean!  Mostly Mutts rescued me from animal control, and I am really enjoying the love and attention I am getting from the nice volunteers.  I came in with some healing skin and a little fur loss, but I’m being well cared for, so I’m coming along!  Now I’m available for adoption, so plan to come meet me soon! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts, and I liked the female dogs, so if you have a nice female doggie at home already, let’s meet and see if we can be pals!  / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that may fall on me.     • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m a sweet, friendly, and loving little guy with a calm, easygoing nature. I was especially sweet for my photo shoot and such a good boy during my bath. I was even a wonderfully patient sport when they had to do some intense gum removal from my chest - how did I even get that there? I’ll happily offer up my paws for a deep clean and stayed calm for ear cleanings, too. I’m truly an all-around sweet, relaxed, and loving boy. / Energy Level: 4-6. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I'm in the Mostly Mutts University training program and have already mastered the ‘sit’ command and I look forward to learning more. Let's continue my training with the free for life training that Mostly Mutts offers for all their adopted dogs! / My crate manners have been good. / My potty manners have been very good on the shelter schedule.  • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I like being held and absolutely love attention. My tail wags when I walk, and I enjoy spending time outside with the volunteers - and inside with them, too!  Let’s find a quiet place to walk together as loud trucks and busy traffic noises near the shelter can make me a little nervous. / Other than loud vehicle sounds on walks, I can’t think of any dislikes, and like all dogs I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered.  I came in with a little fur loss and healing skin, but it’s looking much better now. I’m a wonderful dog looking for a wonderful family to love and be loved by! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  March 8, 2026, 7:16 am

Story
All our dogs are spayed/neutered and fully vetted. Senior dogs receive extra bloodwork and we try to do dental cleanings on any dogs that need them. Most of the dogs in our care are crate-trained and cat tested. We test with kids when we can. Our process can seem involved and long - we appreciate your patience. Adopting a dog is not like buying a candy bar in the checkout lane; it should never be a last-minute decision or one that is not fully thought out. ADOPT MEJuniper is a lovable 2 year old beagle-dachshund mix with a sweet disposition and lots of brown and black freckles all over. Though shy when she initially meets someone new, she quickly warms up and is  eager to roll over for belly rubs every chance she gets. On walks, she will keep close to you and follow your lead. At home, she’s happy to curl up in her bed or keep you company. She doesn’t beg, takes treats gently, and enjoys following the lead of her older foster sister. You couldn’t ask for a more perfect pup.”   Juniper needs to be in a quieter home, without young children.  She does have a bit of separation anxiety and does not care to be restricted access.  Crate training is in the works, but would need to be continued upon adoption.  Like what you see? Fill out our online application! We work on a first received, first approved, first adopted basis. We definitely encourage people who are interested in adopting, even if they haven't found the right dog yet, to fill out an application. Our process can take as long as two weeks (we work day jobs!) so having an already approved application speeds things up considerably when you see a dog that catches your eye. Adopting a dog is not like buying a candy bar in the checkout lane; it should never be a last-minute decision or one that is not fully thought out. ADOPT MEMeet Freddie Mercury! Freddie is a goofy, lovable 6-year-old very Beagle boy with all the classic Beagle charm. He adores going for walks and exploring the world with his nose—he’ll happily let you (and the whole neighborhood!) know when he catches an exciting scent. He does pull on leash, but he’s working on his manners and making progress with training. Freddie would thrive in a home with a secure, fenced-in yard where he can sniff, wander, and enjoy the outdoors—one of his favorite things to do when the weather is nice. He’s happiest in a quieter home with moderate activity, where he can relax with his people between adventures. Freddie was returned to us due to some behavior concerns and is not suitable for a home with young children. He’s currently working with a trainer, and he’ll need an adopter who is committed to continuing his training and providing the structure, patience, and consistency he needs. If you’re ready to help Freddie become the best beagle buddy he can be, this sweet, silly boy is ready to meet you!Like what you see? Fill out our online application! Adopting a dog is not like buying a candy bar in the checkout lane; it should never be a last-minute decision or one that is not fully thought out. This adorable little man comes from Newton County. He’s around five years old and 18 pounds. Murphy enjoys the company of other dogs and likes to be held. He gets vocal when he wants to eat or go outside.  Murphy is a strong heartworm positive, and has an enlarged heart. He also has an enlarged prostate which might be caused from a urinary infection. He has a frequent cough and suspected hypertension in his lungs. Poor boy! Hence, Murphy will be with us for a little while as we work to get him healthy. He’ll be available for adoption, hopefully in around 4-5 months after his heartworm treatment. We’ll keep you updated on his progress.     Like what you see? Fill out our online application!
