Story
Lenny is a spirited 3-year-old mixed breed who is ready to find his forever home. Rescued from a Home Depot parking lot at just 8 weeks old, Lenny has been a loyal companion ever since. He loves to play and has a few adorable quirks that make him truly unique. Playful: Lenny loves his ball and will tease you by pretending to give it back, but he just wants you to scratch his butt. He enjoys all treats, thanks to his chunky frame, and loves to cuddle. Affectionate: He is very snuggly with his person and loves to put his behind on you for some pets. Unsocialized: Lenny hasn’t been around many people, so he can be very unsocialized and doesn’t like anyone being around his person. He barks like crazy from his kennel whenever anyone other than his owner walks through the house. Behavioral Concerns Resource Guarding: Lenny doesn’t like anyone being around his person. Unsocialized: He’s not used to being around other people or cats and may not react well. Separation Anxiety: Lenny doesn’t like to be left alone outside for too long. Training Commands: Lenny knows basic commands like sit, shake, and lay down. Potty Trained: He is house trained and crate trained, and walks well on a leash. He’s very food motivated when it comes to training. Ideal Home Lenny would do best in a home without kids and with someone who has a lot of time to spend with him. He might be okay with another dog as long as he’s not left alone too often. An ideal owner would be patient and understanding of his need for attention and his unsocialized behavior. Adoption Info Lenny is a unique and loving dog who needs a special home that can provide him with the attention and care he deserves. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who loves to play and cuddle, Lenny could be the perfect match for you!

Octavia is a friendly, social gal who adores people, outdoor adventures, and, of course, belly rubs! She’s a bright and eager learner who already knows commands like sit, come, and down. Octavia thrives with a gentle but confident leader to guide her as she continues to become the best dog ever. While treats and food don’t excite her as much, she’s absolutely love-motivated and ready to shower her humans with affection. She also gets along with some dogs and enjoys romping and playing with her canine pals, making her a wonderful mix of smart, sweet, and social!

Story
Meet Chop Chop was 1 of the many puppies that was rescued by our friend Wendi. Chop had been adopted, but unfortunately their youngest child and Chop were not a good match. Chop loves people of all ages, but prefers them to know when to give him a break if he needs one. So no kids under 8 is probably best for him. He enjoys playing with both 2 and 4 legged friends. Chop weighs 25ish pounds. He is house trained as long he has regular potty breaks. He was born on 6-1-24. He is neutered, current on all shots, heartworm negative, and current on heartworm prevention. The adoption fee is $175 to an approved and loving home To apply to adopt go to our website www.fureverfurkids.com *We do home checks for each pet before approving an adoption.* The application is to be completed prior to meeting the pet(s) you are interested in adopting. If they are still on the page, they are still more than likely still available. We do keep our website and Petfinder updated regularly. Once a pet is adopted from our rescue, they MUST be returned to us, if you cannot keep them. If you plan on not keeping them their whole lives, please do not apply. Thank you for looking at our rescues in need of amazing homes!

Story
Lexie is a tricolored female Beagle mix that grew up in a tough part of town. Besides the elderly man that took her under his wing, the other neighborhood residents were not very kind to her. Lacking resources to properly care for them and fearing for their safety, he reached out to us for help. Fortunately, we were able to bring her into our rescue. At first, Lexie was understandably wary of volunteers. It has been a journey gaining her trust. With patience and love, our volunteers showed her not all people were bad and soon won her over. She has really blossomed during her time with us. Lexie was born in 2019 and weighs 20 pounds. She is a good fit for an adult or family with teenage children that are home most of the day. She takes comfort in knowing you are near. Lexie prefers a quiet calm home where she can putter around and relax with the family. Visitors should be few as she is wary of strangers. She doesn’t expect you to fuss over her but does enjoy a soft pat on the head. Lexie enjoys when you talk to her as you do things around the house. She does well on a set schedule and a routine gives her a sense of security. Another calm confident dog in the home would be a good companion for her. Outdoor rest breaks are limited at the shelter, so she may need more work to be fully housebroken. A home with a fenced-in backyard is a must. Lexie prefers exploring and running outdoors over going on walks. On sunny days, Lexie likes to sprawl out in the grass and catch a few rays. Shy sweet Lexie is searching for a family that will give her a wonderful life. We hope that will be with you!To adopt this pet, please go to hsnwga.org, 'Adoption' then 'Application for Adoption', to complete an online application to be preapproved. Story
Holy moly, meet Cubby, a beagle mix weighing just under 70lbs. Cubby came to us after his former owner passed away, and sadly has been with us for 900 days. Cubby is a favorite of many of the volunteers. He's so sweet, loving and kind. Cubby would be best with older children and gets along with other dogs. He would benefit from an active family who goes hiking and enjoys activities. A home with a fenced backyard is needed for exploring and playtime. . Are you ready to give this boy the life he deserves and bring joy to your family? To adopt this pet, please go to hsnwga.org, 'Adoption' then 'Application for Adoption', to complete an online application to be preapproved.
