Story
She is a good dog, we found her roaming in the woods and believe she had been dumped. We agreed to take her in to get her healthy, vaccinated and spayed. She is great with dogs cats and children. She does have severe separation anxiety that causes her to tear up bedding and being in a kennel can cause her more harm than good. We are hoping to find her a good home and family that has more time to offer her more freedom throughout the day than my wife and i can give her.

Story
Kita is a 3 year old female Beagle mix, who is ready to be your best cuddle buddy! Even though she is a little shy at first, once Kita knows you, she is ALL IN!  And this super sweet and gentle girl isn’t too big to be a lap dog, or at the least, to be snuggled up close beside you on the couch. Kita will follow your lead while on a leash, so any walks with her are pure pleasure. Plus, the look of joy on her face while out enjoying the sunshine together will make you smile too. Kita is easy going and laid back. Still, every once in a while, she likes to jog over for her favorite toy (or her favorite person). Once she knows you, this precious girl loves big… and we are sure you will feel the same way! All it takes is to meet Kita, and you are sure to fall completely in love with her. So don’t wait, Kita is just what you need to brighten your life! The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip.Carroll County Animal Shelter is located at 251 Automation Drive in Carrollton GA. Story
A GENTLE LOVEBUG:  Approx. 6 years old / Approx. 24 lbs. Hello – my name’s Mary Kate!  I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control and am so happy to be in their great care while I wait for my new family to find me.  The volunteers showed me lots of love and I returned the favor! I’m currently in a great foster home while I wait for my furever family to find me. • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I haven’t met other dogs at Mostly Mutts yet, so let’s meet!  I just ignore other dogs that I see on walks with my foster.  / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  In the time I have been at the shelter, I have earned the reputation as a ‘sweet ol’ soul’ – just a calm and gentle girl with a friendly and loving nature.  I greet everyone with a great big smile – anticipating all the love that comes my way.  I was sweet for my first bath in my foster home.  / My energy level is 3-5. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I have good leash manners, and I already know the ‘sit’ command. I’ve also shown my good door etiquette, as well as how to accept friendly strangers without jumping on them.  I’m sure you can teach me lots more. / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts.  In my foster home, I go in there sometimes during the day with the door open to relax.  I haven’t bothered with items that don’t belong to me, so my foster chooses not to close my crate door when she leaves.  I also sleep in bed with my foster and really enjoy that.  When my foster first leaves, I cry for a few minutes before settling down into my crate or on the couch. / I’m having some accidents in my foster home, but my foster is working with me on my potty skills and getting me used to a schedule.  Please continue to be consistent with me on a good schedule so that I can fully master my potty skills. • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I’m quite affectionate and really enjoyed the rub down during my shelter bath.  I gave nice little groans of appreciation and sweet kisses!  True to my beagle nature, I enjoy using my sniffer to explore my surroundings so let’s go exploring together!  It helps that I love the car and going for rides, so let’s do that too. I prefer lying next to my foster mom when we’re on the couch, although I am warming up to my foster dad as well. / I can’t think of any dislikes, though I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I’ve just had a dental cleaning, so my mouth is fresh again!  I came in with some fur loss and itchy skin, likely from a flea allergy, so I’m getting medicated baths twice a week for a little while longer.  These can easily be done in my new home.  Also, I should be kept on a flea prevention to prevent this in the future. I am looking for a home where will be a much-loved member of the family!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  December 18, 2024, 7:48 am

Story
Winnie is an awesome pup. She is two years old and is a typical Beagle. Loves the outdoors and cannot get enough of squirrels. She does not bark inside and even though she is a little sassy, she is crate trained. I travel about 100 nights a year for work and it is really difficult to take care of her. We adopted her from a puppy mill in Atlanta and she has always had bad GI issues. The vet bills have stacked up and medication and prescription meds have not worked. The result of the GI issues is that she has bloody stools and diarrhea. She needs to be let out every 2 hours or so and if crated at night, if it is more than 6 or 7 hours, she will not wait till morning. She really needs an access to a yard or some property. Her energy levels and overall health seem to be unaffected and she is the sweetest little thing. Loves people and wants to lay beside you all day. I hate to rehome her but she needs more than we can give right now.

Story
Hi, I’m Caterpillar!I’m 7 years young, weigh 38 pounds, and I’m all about enjoying life at a leisurely pace. If you’re looking for a dog who loves to chill, then look no further—I’m your guy! I’m low-energy, which means I’m perfectly content lounging on the couch or going on nice, relaxed walks. I’ve mastered the art of being a professional napper, but don’t worry, I still know how to have fun!I’ve got some pretty stellar potty skills, so no accidents here—I keep things clean and tidy. I also know my basic commands, so if you say “sit,” I’ll gladly show off my well-behaved side. And let me tell you, if there’s a car ride involved, I’ll be your best co-pilot. I’m always ready to hit the road, wind in my fur, living my best life.I’m also cool with cats, so if you’ve got one, I’m sure we’ll get along just fine. I’m a peaceful, easygoing guy looking for a family to share my love with. Whether you need a quiet companion or someone to join you on scenic drives, I’ve got your back!
