Story
I need either a big yard to run in or someone that can keep me in the house. I’m a good dog, but I just never have wanted to play with toys or go chase a ball, I think it’s silly for a human to make me do that! 🐶 I will be your bestest friend and will walk with you every step you take, just unfortunately my owner has a lot of health issues that she can’t take care of me so I wonder off but I do always come back, but I know she’s scared for m🫣 but I know I would be a great dog for anyone that will love and care for me as much as she has! Oh yeah I ❤️🐶 bully rubs and I do sit and stay most of the time when I’m told and when I get rewards(treats)!

Story
I've had him since he was a puppy. He is potty trained to use pee pads. He is 7 years old. I would love to see him go to a home that has a backyard that he can enjoy for hours. He loves sunbathing, rolling in the grass, and getting all the smells in. We are needing to rehome him due to having financial hardship. He needs dental work a tooth extraction on a broken canine tooth and gum disease. He is such a sweet loving handsome boy.

Story
Hi! This is Beau. He is a sweet seven year old who loves to bask in the sun. Beaus favorite pastime is lying on the couch, snoozing away. About once a day hell get a burst of energy and want to play or get the zoomies. When he is at the dog park he makes a friend or two and plays for a bit, but for the most part he just wanders around, enjoying being outside. Beau also enjoys car rides and feeling the wind in his ears, although he will talk to you the whole drive. Yes, he is a talker. He is the first one to tell you about his day when you get home and it really does make you feel loved. I am looking to re-home Beau because of his food guarding. Around human food, treats, and wet food he does become threatening by growling lunging. He has not bitten anyone. He can be controlled by an experienced owner. In the right environment, Beau will thrive. As long as he has his person, a yard, and a soft place to lay down, he is content. He is a loving dog who deserves an equally loving family.

Story
A SWEET & GENTLE SOUL:  Approx. 8 years old / Approx. 24 lbs.  Hi, my name’s Carter!  I came from animal control with another dog friend who has already been adopted, and I am so thankful that Mostly Mutts had a place for us.  I initially had a bit of a sad demeanor, but – with lots of care and attention from the nice volunteers and my foster, I have been opening up and am happy to be in a safe and loving place!  I’m now ready to find my very own family. • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I like the dogs in my foster home.  They were patient with me when I first arrived and did not insist I play with them. Now – as I have gotten to know them, we share napping spots, treats and I even sometimes initiate play after we all run some zoomies.  I’ll run towards one of the dogs to start a game, which does not bother the other dog at all.  I think I’d enjoy another friendly dog in my new home, so if you have a dog that sounds like he or she would like me, let’s meet! / I am friendly with the dog-friendly kitty in my foster home. I pretty much pay little attention to her, but occasionally say ‘hello’ with a gentle sniff.  I also haven’t chased her when we are all out together in our yard. / I’ve passed a couple of kids on my  walks and had a wagging tail, but haven’t officially met kids, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over.      • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  It has taken me a little time to grow comfortable and gain confidence in my foster home, but – thanks to the patience of my foster and their gentle handling with me, I’ve really come out of my shell and am showing my true personality. I’m affectionate and generous with kisses and they say that I’m an absolute sweetheart who is active but also a lower key love bug! Though not very shy any longer in my foster home, I do still have a bit of a not-so-sure manner about myself and a submissive posture, so I’m looking for a gentle-natured family to continue showing me that I’m all good and in a great place. I also follow my foster around and can be a little bit of a tripping hazard if you don’t notice me down here.  I wouldn’t want to make anyone fall.  I find myself interested in things that aren’t always mine, so I’ll need you to help me learn what’s alright to chew on and what’s not. I think that so many things are new to me that I just want to pick them up, etc. I have a sweet ‘Beagley’ nature – curious and friendly. / My energy level is 4-6 now that I’ve settled in at my foster home.   • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I am learning the ‘sit’ command, as well as ‘place’ for going to my crate and ‘leave it’.  I’m a smart guy, and I’m sure you can teach me some other great doggie commands, too. My foster thinks that I feel so grateful for being rescued that I will show my gratitude by jumping up – so she is working on that with me. / In my foster home, I know to go into my crate for bedtime (with a treat reward, please) and I’ve kept it clean throughout the night, too.  If I need to go in the crate during the day, I’m sometimes more vocal and may make a louder Beagle baying noise, so it is best no apartment/condo type home for me. / I’m working on my potty manners and am taken out during the day frequently (every couple of hours) so I’ve only had a couple of pee accidents since being with them.  I should remain leashed on my potty outings in the yard, as I do try to eat my poo – which may be a habit I had as I did come in very skinny.  It’s getting better as I’ve gained weight and food is readily available to me, but it may take more training.  My foster is working with me on this using the ‘leave it’ command and rewarding with a treat.  • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I’m always happy to be with my people and I show them that with lots of tail wags, cuddles and lap time (though I don’t get on the furniture – but you can lift me up there).  I also like tummy rubs. I’m a destroyer of soft toys, so let’s find some sturdier toys for me. / I may need time to adjust in my new home, so please don’t rush me, and I will reward you with lots of love in return.  The vacuum scared me, but I should get used to it in time, and what was that cold white stuff that covered the ground in January? – I didn’t much care for it. LOL.  Otherwise, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. I have moderate tartar on my teeth, so my adoptive family should consult with their vet and consider a dental cleaning in the future.  I had a little fur loss on my ears when I arrived, but it’s growing back in nicely now.  I’m looking for a family that will treat me gently and will love me furever!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  February 7, 2025, 10:07 am
