Story
Meet Connie! Sweet beagle mix Connie came to HAP Rehoboth with her brother Georgie recently and she's been making herself right at home! Between the two siblings, Connie is the more outgoing and independent pup and is happy to do her own thing but also doesn't mind roughing around with her brother. When she's not playing with Georgie or out on another adventure, Connie loves to make other doggy friends and meet new humans. Since she's a new arrival and just a pup, she's still working on some of her puppy manners but she's treat motivated and eager to please! She has met a few younger children briefly when out and about and has done well - allowing them to pet her gently once she realized they were just tiny happy humans. Connie would make a great addition to any family or any home ready for a confident pup ready to take on the world! Connie recently went to a foster for a break from the shelter and here's what they had to say about her: "Connie was a fantastic house guest! She was in love with our current dog and they loved to chase each other around and play. I'm not sure if it was because she was exhausted from all the play or because she enjoys being in her crate but once she settled in, she was out for the night! Connie was also a sweetheart and enjoyed getting some cuddles in or simply just enjoying laying on the bed beside me. Connie is a great pup and make a great new member to any family!" Puppies require a significant amount of structure, routine, time, patience, and training to learn how to behave properly in a home. The first few months of having a puppy is a critical time to establish boundaries and help your puppy understand what they can expect from you and what you expect from them. Remember, puppies aren’t born knowing how to live in a human’s world, it is up to you to teach them how to make good decisions in a positive and caring manner. The more positive interactions they have in their first year of life will set them up for better behavior in the future. If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.

Story
Meet Georgie! Geeeeooorrrrggiiee!!! Georgie is the cutest little beagle mix with his little furrowed eyebrows and floppy ears, you can't help but fall in love the second you meet him! Besides being the cutest little guy ever, he's also got the personality to match. He's an absolute snuggle bug and loves to sit on your lap or even curl up on your chest. Georgie loves to make new puppy friends and has gotten along with a variety of different dogs but his favorite play mate so far has been his sister Connie! He's still working on his puppy manners and sometimes he gets away with things because he just looks up at you and then melts onto your feet for some rubs - it's very hard to resist! If you're looking for a lovebug of a puppy, look no further than perfect Mr. Georgie! Story
Meet Judith! Judith recently arrived to HAP with her eight siblings and the two sisters she came to Rehoboth with have found their furever homes so Judith is patiently waiting for her turn! She's a spunky, energetic, wiggly little hound mix and there has not been a toy, other dog, place, or person she has not fallen in love with! Seriously, she has the best personality and will instantly melt your heart and will instantly make new friends with other pups! Judith also met a few children and she did incredibly well with them. One of the cutest things about Judith is her little wiggle butt that she does when she gets so excited - which is a lot! Even though she's a young pup and still working on her puppy manners, she's coming along really well and is very treat motivated. Judith would make a great addition to any home so stop by today to see if Judith is your girl!
