Story
Bailey has the face of a Beagle and the legs of a gazelle. He is trained to use a pet door and has been accident-free since arriving here. He's a sweet little boy that needs a family who will help boost his confidence. We think he's around 2 years old and he is healthy and ready to travel now. He seems to be afraid of men so a home with females or smaller quiet males would be best for him and another friendly dog would also help him feel more comfortable. If you're interested in welcoming Bailey or any of our Funny Farm friends into your home, please visit funnyfarmpets.org to learn more about our Tennessee-based rescue, the adoption process, the comprehensive vetting procedures these pets undergo before they come to your home, and to submit an adoption application. The adoption fee for this pet is $325, and an additional $200 is required for transport. Currently located in a foster home in Tennessee, this pet will be transported to a northern location after the adoption process is finalized. For details on meeting locations and the transport process, please visit the transport tab at funnyfarmpets.org

Story
Meet Peppa, one of the "Little Piggy" puppies , born to mama Dorris! Peppa is a female beagle/hound mix, expected to grow to a medium sized dog.  Mama Dorris was picked up as a stray by animal control in east TN when she was very heavily pregnant - poor Dorris looked like she was about to pop! Paws Rescue League took her into rescue and placed her into a loving foster home, where she went into labor and began giving birth during the evening hours of 9/29. Dorris was able to deliver the first 3 babies on her own, but baby #4 got stuck, so her experienced foster mom loaded her up to the vet for a C section. The vet was able to pull out baby #4, however it was stillborn The final 3 babies were delivered via C section (mama was also spayed following the C section). One other baby did not make it, but the surviving 5 pups (the "Little Piggie" litter) have grown into chubby, healthy puppies who are almost ready for their furever homes! Peppa is a typical happy, playful puppy who loves everyone! She is good with dogs, cats, people, and kids. Young puppies are like blank slates who, when properly trained/socialized, will grow into wonderful dogs. Peppa is medically up to date (age appropriate) and will be ready for her furever home once she turns 8 weeks old. We are accepting applications on her now! Apply to meet this sweet little piggy today!  Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2226778##

Meet Dorris, a super sweet 6-8 year old spayed female beagle mix! Dorris was picked up as a stray by animal control in east TN when she was very heavily pregnant - poor Dorris looked like she was about to pop! Paws Rescue League took her into rescue and placed her into a loving foster home, where she went into labor and began giving birth during the evening hours of 9/29. One other baby did not make it, but the surviving 5 pups (the "Little Piggy" litter ) have grown into chubby, healthy puppies who are almost ready for their furever homes! And Mama Dorris is ready to retire from motherhood and live out the rest of her days being spoiled like she deserves!  Dorris is good with other dogs, people, and kids. She has not been cat tested, so we are unsure how she would do with cats.  She is medically up to date, crate trained, and housebroken.
