Story
Meet Riley!Riley is a 7-year-old, 35-pound Beagle with a heart full of love and a calm, sweet demeanor. This gentle girl is quiet and low-key, making her the perfect companion for a peaceful home. Riley adores people and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. She was lovingly cared for by her elderly owner, who had to surrender her due to a change in living situation.Riley seems to be house trained and has clearly been well-loved throughout her life. She’s looking for a family to continue showering her with affection and help her stay healthy—she’d benefit from slimming down a bit. If you’re looking for a loyal and loving companion, Riley is ready to bring her warmth and sweetness into your home!IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.December 15, 2024, 6:04 am

Story
Meet Koda: Your Future Best Friend!       Hi, I’m Koda! I’m a happy and curious 10-month-old Beagle boy weighing 20 pounds, and I’m on the lookout for my perfect forever home.       I was recently adopted from a Nashville shelter, but my first home wasn’t quite the right fit. You see, I’m a Beagle, and like all Beagles, I have a lot of energy, love to “talk,” and need a safe, fenced-in yard to run, sniff, and enjoy the outdoors. My first owner lived in an apartment and didn’t realize how much I needed space to thrive, so I’m hoping to find a home that truly gets what I need to be my best Beagle self!       Here’s what you should know about me:   I’m super friendly and love people—my happy personality is contagious!   Everyone says I’m adorable with my floppy Beagle ears and cute freckles.   I’m working on perfecting my potty schedule, but with patience and love, I’ll get it down.   I’m looking for a family that loves my Beagle howl and will help me grow into the best family pet ever.       I’m currently being fostered by an amazing couple who is helping me stay safe and happy until I find my forever family.       About Critter Cavalry Rescue:   We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit rescue based in Tennessee. As part of our mission, we transport animals like me to the Northeast weekly! If you’re located in the Northeast, check out our website at crittercavalry.com to learn more about our typical fees, drop-off points, and adoption process.       If you have a great fenced yard, a love for Beagles, and the patience to help me shine, please reach out to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com. Let’s see if we’re the perfect match!       #AdoptDontShop #BeagleLove #DogAdoption #CritterCavalryRescue   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comDecember 14, 2024, 8:45 pm

Story
Frank, he’s an absolute angel, he will melt your heart. Frank was adored by his owner who recently passed away. We promised the family we would find Frank the best home, where he will be loved and spoiled. Frank loves to fall asleep on your lap, especially if back scratches are involved. He is good with other dogs, and make friends with every new dog he meets. He adores attention and will follow you everywhere you go, he misses having a constant best friend. He is great with children, with his sweet gentle personality and dash of shenanigans he will keep you laughing and smiling all day. Frank is housetrained, crate and leash trained- he’s just about perfect. The only thing Frank is missing is a family to call his own. Frankie the Lovebug is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. All dogs 6 month + receive a Proheart 6 injection at the time of their heartworm test. This provides heartworm prevention for 6 months from the time of that injection. The adoption fee is $500 which includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccinations, flea/tick and heartworm preventatives, and the mandatory CT HB 5368 fee. This dog tested *** for heartworms. Visit our website to see our weekend Events here! Pups with the designated “meet me” next to their names are in CT and ready to attend adoption events. Please check with your adoption coordinator if you are interested in a specific dog prior to coming to an event, as a dog's availability to attend can change at any time. We can not guarantee approval on site at the events, so we recommend applying ahead of time. You can apply at the event, but the application process may not be able to be completed the same day. If you are not pre-approved, you are still welcome to come and meet pup’s at the event! If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get a confirmation. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back. After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.
