Story
Bailey has the face of a Beagle and the legs of a gazelle. He is trained to use a pet door and has been accident-free since arriving here. He's a sweet little boy that needs a family who will help boost his confidence. We think he's around 2 years old and he is healthy and ready to travel now. He seems to be afraid of men so a home with females or smaller quiet males would be best for him and another friendly dog would also help him feel more comfortable. If you're interested in welcoming Bailey or any of our Funny Farm friends into your home, please visit funnyfarmpets.org to learn more about our Tennessee-based rescue, the adoption process, the comprehensive vetting procedures these pets undergo before they come to your home, and to submit an adoption application. The adoption fee for this pet is $325, and an additional $200 is required for transport. Currently located in a foster home in Tennessee, this pet will be transported to a northern location after the adoption process is finalized. For details on meeting locations and the transport process, please visit the transport tab at funnyfarmpets.org

Story
Meet Dorris, a super sweet 6-8 year old spayed female beagle mix! Dorris was picked up as a stray by animal control in east TN when she was very heavily pregnant - poor Dorris looked like she was about to pop! Paws Rescue League took her into rescue and placed her into a loving foster home, where she went into labor and began giving birth during the evening hours of 9/29. Dorris was able to deliver the first 3 babies on her own, but baby #4 got stuck, so her experienced foster mom loaded her up to the vet for a C section. The vet was able to pull out baby #4, however it was stillborn The final 3 babies were delivered via C section (mama was also spayed following the C section). One other baby did not make it, but the surviving 5 pups (the "Little Piggy" litter ) have grown into chubby, healthy puppies who have almost all been adopted! Mama Dorris is ready to retire from motherhood and live out the rest of her days being spoiled like she deserves!  Dorris is good with other dogs, cats, people, and kids. She is an easy, low maintenance dog who would do well in most homes. From Dorris's current foster: "Dorris is the sweetest! Her favorite activity is sleeping but when we go on walks she gets a boost of energy. She loves sniffing, her nose is always to the ground. When she sniffs a squirrel out she’ll chase after them. Fortunately, she hasn’t expressed any interest in chasing after my cat so I’d say she’s good with dog savvy cats. The few times my cat has approached Dorris she doesn’t do much. Overall she’s a cutie!!" She is medically up to date, crate trained, and housebroken. Apply to meet this sweet, loving girl today!  Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2226709##

Story
Meet Weaver, a sweet ~8 years young spayed female beagle/shepherd mix, weighing about 30 lbs! Weaver was seen being dumped out of a pick up truck at a car wash in east TN (sadly, dumping/abandoning dogs is very common in this area). She was dumped on a street called Weaver Pike, which is how she got her name. Fortunately for Weaver, she was taken into rescue and is now ready to find her furever home and put her past behind her! Weaver is a sweet, friendly girl who is good with other dogs, people, and kids. She has not been cat tested, so we are unsure how she would do with cats. She is medically up to date, housebroken, and crate trained. Apply to meet this darling gal today!  Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. Story
Meet Nutmeg, a sweet 1-3 year old female beagle/hound mix, weighing about 30-35 lbs! Nutmeg is mama to the 7 spice litter pups (Caraway, Chive, Dill, Sugar, Oregano, Cumin, and Basil). Nutmeg was taken into rescue when she was heavily pregnant, and she gave birth shortly after being moved to her TN foster home. Her puppies are almost old enough to find their furever homes, and Nutmeg is ready to retire from mama duties and find her furever home as well!  Nutmeg is a shy girl who takes a little time to warm up to new people, but she is very sweet once she knows you are safe. She is a bit nervous around men, but warms up with time and patience. She is good with other dogs, people, and kids. She has not been cat tested, so we are unsure how she would do with cats. She is medically up to date (not yet spayed - she will be spayed prior to adoption), housebroken, and crate trained. Apply to meet this special girl today! Story
WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Bentley - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! Hello, hello! Let me introduce myself, I'm Bentley. I'm here searching for a new family where I'll have a home, for always. You see, I had a wonderful loving home until my person passed away. The 'other' family didn't want me and just dropped me off at the shelter. I just lost my person and now have lost my home too! But I'm still a loving sweet boy that would love to have another person(s) to bestow all my love! I am so ready for Christmas, is Santa coming to grant my wish? I am a total sweetheart that will have your heart wrapped right around my little paw in no time flat! I love people both tall and small and do fantastic with other pups and even the resident kitty too!! I am house broken and crate trained, letting us get right to the fun stuff right away!! I like going for our walks around the property but I'm more of a meanderer then a cruiser. I'm at that stage in my life where I like to stop and smell the flowers instead of bulldozing right over them! And there's not much that beats a good splash in the river on those walks. Coming in at around 50lbs I could stand to lose a few pounds so those walks will sure help with that. I would make a great companion type pup for someone retired or that works from home. I would even make a great first time dog parent pup. Are you looking for that calm mellow fella that will be happy just to be in the same room? Are you looking for that someone to share in your daily life's going on's from the mundane daily to the weekend exciting? That FBF (furry best friend), that constant in your life that will never turn down belly rubs or treats? Oh wait, yep...that'd be ME!!! Please stop and fill out my adoption application, I am so looking forward to being that lil heartbeat at your feet. It can be found at haydudeequine.org
