Story
*WILL NOT SHIP ACROSS COUNTRY* Penelope is a loving, energetic, kind dog. Shes great with kids and my two cats, and she was rescued a couple months ago. Me and my family found her abandoned in a parking lot of a Renaissance Faire and took her home. While we love her, we live in a very small apartment and do not have a yard or place for her to visit, and we are not home very often. She is kennel trained and is house-trained, rarely having accidents. We just dont have the space or time to care for her, and I would love to give her to a family that can give her the love and attention she needs.

Story
Snoopy is a 4+ year old Beagle mix, weighing 39 pounds. He walks well on leash and appears to be housetrained. He is mild-mannered and gentle. He is super sweet and affectionate. He gets along well with most other dogs. He has tested okay with cats. He knows “sit” and would do well with further training. Snoopy does have some allergies that cause skin issues. It is something that will have to be managed throughout his life. He is otherwise healthy, heartworm negative, and neutered. He will be microchipped at the time of adoption. Snoopy will do well with an active family that can provide him with the exercise he needs. ....................................If you would like further information or would like to request an adoption application, please e-mail us directly adopt@thehss.org If you request an application and don’t receive it check your spam or junk mail file. Story
Say hello to Calvin! Mr. Calvin here might be the Calvin to your Hobbes, he's so sweet! Calvin was given up by his finder to our rescue recently but he's in good hands. He instantly warmed up and got along with everyone here as soon as we got him. Calvin is a Beagle mix, he's a bit of a bigger boy with his stubby legs- kind of like a super solid beagle but isn't short. Calvin loves getting attention, he'll bump you with his head so you notice and pay attention to him! He'll need a bit of leash work but is very eager to get to work! That is what people notice most about Calvin, is his eagerness. He will need slow introductions to other people and animals as he can warm up to others slowly sometimes. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)
