Story
Meet Camie – Your Loyal Shadow and Cheese-Loving Sidekick 🖤 📍 Breed: Beagle/Lab mix 📏 Size: 50 lbs 🎂 Age: 4 years 🐾 Personality: Loyal, Smart, Sweet, Sensitive Camie is the definition of a Velcro dog—she wants to be where you are, whether that’s snuggled on the couch or riding shotgun on your next adventure. She bonds deeply with her people and would love nothing more than a calm, loving home where she can be someone’s devoted companion. She’s: ✅ House-trained ✅ Excellent on a leash ✅ Incredibly food motivated (especially for sliced cheese!) ✅ Learning commands like “sit” and eager for more ✅ Confident in public settings Camie is wonderfully smart and eager to please, which makes training easy and fun—especially when snacks are involved. She’s also been around goats, pigs, horses, chickens, peacocks, and guinea fowl with zero interest. While she’s still a little too curious about cats, she’s perfectly content to ignore most other animals. When it comes to other dogs, Camie does just fine. She can be a little cautious at first, but once she realizes a dog isn’t going to hurt her, she relaxes and will engage—and even play! She’s not the kind of dog who rushes into group play, but she’s absolutely capable of having dog friends with the right introductions and a little time. With people, she prefers a gentle, slow approach—especially with new faces or larger individuals. Once she trusts you, she’s incredibly loving and affectionate. She adores her teenage human foster sister and would likely do well with older, dog-savvy kids. Small children may be too overwhelming unless they are respectful and calm. Her ideal home includes: 🏡 Someone home more often than not 🧀 A steady supply of cheese 💛 A calm, patient person who lets her come out of her shell at her own pace 🎾 An active lifestyle—walks, hikes, car rides, and time with her human Camie just wants her person. If you’re looking for a sweet, loyal companion who will love you with her whole heart—and who just happens to be a little obsessed with snacks—Camie is ready to meet you. 📍 Currently in foster care and waiting for her perfect match. Could that be you? All of our animals are fully vetted which includes spay/neuter, up to date on vaccines, wormed, heartworm tested and treated if necessary, up to date on flea/tick/heartworm prevention and microchipped) prior to adoption.
