Lil Bit is a beautiful, sweet dog with a phenomenal spirit. We rescued her as a pup when she was approximately six weeks old. She is just over 2 years old now. She loves people and she loves kids. She is very smart, energetic and loving and will make someone a remarkable pet. My wife is allergic and just can’t take dealing with her allergies anymore. We are looking for someone who will take great care of her and love her.

Please make sure to read the narrative below our pet's photos as you will find a description of our pet with all we know about them, our adoption fee info, and you will find the link to do our online Adoption Application which is the first step in our Adoption Process!     Please read ALL below where you will find answers about the pet, our adoption fees and how to do our adoption application!   Pet Description:  Sherlock is five years old, 45 lbs (yes, he could stand to lose a few lbs).  Sherlock was adopted from us but came back as we were told he was escaping their fence.  He was adopted again and they just brought him back as said, moving and could not take him.  This sweet, low-key boy deserves a FOREVER home!  Sherlock is housetrained and crate-trained, good with other dogs and children, loves everyone!   DOG ADOPTION FEE is $100. This Adoption fee includes: mandatory spay/neuter which will be done before you can take your dog or puppy home with you; basic canine immunizations (DHPP-CPV & Bordatella Intranasal); de-wormings; one-year rabies vaccination if old enough; heartworm test if over five months old; microchip from 24-Pet Watch; certificate for free health examination at your participating veterinarian; and a goodie bag chocked full of information, toys, and more.  (If a dog is sponsored or has a waived or lower fee, that info will be provided at the point of adoption to the approved adopter).   The first step is to our Adoption Application here:  https://elmorehumane.org/adoption-application-online-form2.html .   IMPORTANT – we respond to your emailed applications and queries via email back to you.  Please make sure you have either added our email  (hselco@bellsouth.net)  to your contact list or that you routinely check your SPAM folder for our response just to be safe. Hailey is a beautiful mix of Beagle and Chihuahua. She's one year old and weighs only 16 pounds. She's the very affectionate mom of three pups, is playful and loves the spirit of adventure! In her medium length coat of rich black and tan she draws the attention of every passerby. She's a great girl!!! (posted 4/14/25, ME) Adoption Fee: $395.00-- covers microchip, worming, all vaccines, monthly heart worm preventative, monthly tick/flea preventative, spaying/neutering, health certificate, and complete medical records. Transport Fee: $160.00-- We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip.
