Story
BESSIE UPDATE!! Look at our girl go!? From sick and defeated to happy and on the go!!! When we took Bessie in she didn’t even want to stand. We truly questioned euthanizing because it seemed her quality of life wasn’t there but we never let go without a fight and boy are we glad we fought for this girl. In a months time, she has made a heck of a transformation. From not walking at all, to being on all 4 and even at times 2, not just walking but running all over the place. Her tail never stops. She’s truly enjoying life and soaking it all in. She adores her foster mom and her foster mom says Bessie is the best girl. Her hair is growing in slowly and she truly is looking and feeling amazing these days! Bessie is around 10 years old or so and is a beagle but possibly a mix. She weighs 20-25 lbs. She’s mellow, calm and the sweetest thing. She’s great with all size dogs, cats and kids. She loves to lounge around and she loves a good treat. She’s great indoors and is the perfect girl for just about anyone. Bessie is fully vetted and altered!! Huge thanks to her amazing foster mom for the tlc she has shown Bessie!! Our adoptions are NOT on a first come first serve basis and there is no fee to apply! We never state any animal is fully House-trained. New environments, situations, families, routines, ect. can lead to accidents even with the most well trained animals.    All dogs have a $175 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter! Puppies will be altered before adoption. All rescues and shelters practice pediatric spay and neuter. This is essential in our rescue efforts and it is a policy that we will stick by. All dogs over 8 weeks and 2 pounds will be altered before adoption. There are no exceptions to this rule on all healthy and adoptable dogs. We have researched and discussed in depth with multiple vets everything on pediatric spay and neuter and from a rescue stand point it must be done. Please do not ask for an extension on spay and neutering, it will NOT be granted on a healthy puppy!    Puppies/Dogs that are not available for adoption due to vetting not being complete can be reserved with an approved application and a non refundable $50 deposit. Deposits can ONLY be submitted once the rescue has been in contact on your approval and it has been requested through Wags and Whiskers. This deposit is applied to your adoption fee and the remaining $125 is due at pick up.   Wags and Whiskers is an all-volunteer rescue. We also have full-time jobs and Families. We will try to answer all questions and applications in a timely manner. Please be patient and bear with us . Do not contact any of the vet clinics we work with, as they are a vet clinic and can not answer questions on behalf of Wags and Whiskers. All questions and comments must go directly through the rescue. Thank you for your understanding.   ADOPTION APPLICATION   https://form.jotform.us/70898112177159 Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 4, 2024, 3:02 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Abby is 11 years old. She's a tri-color beagle who is a loving, kind soul. She wants a family who can love her and promise she will never be on the street again. She's been through a lot lately. Her mom died when she was 8 years old. She went to live with her mom's daughter. Though she missed her mom dearly, things were good.  However, last year, Abby's new mom died just two short years after Abby lost her first mom. Once again, her world was turned upside down. Abby and her housemate were supposed to be with her mom's brother, but instead, a nice lady found them running loose. After much research, the owner was found, and he released Abby to AGBR and her sister to another rescue. She is safe now but needs a new home to live out her days happy and carefree like a dog's life should be! Since Abby is a medium-sized dog, we recommend a home with a fenced-in backyard and/or plans for daily exercise and socialization. Amazing Grace Bully Rescue is a foster-based rescue in the Pensacola, Florida, area. We do not have a physical building. If you would like to meet any of our pups, the first step is to fill out our online application so we can contact you. Story
Alice is a super fun, spry little senior with plenty of zest and sass! This sweet old girl was found tied to a stop sign with a senior friend and taken to the shelter. Alice had bad skin and horrible cherry eyes so bad they completely covered her eyes. She flew through surgery to repair her cherry wyes and with meds and love she is ready for a forever home! Alice has done well with meeting other dogs, is house and crate trained. We believe she must have beagle in her because she is nose to the ground investigating all the time! She loves a good leash walk and a snack, but she’s also happy with couch time (and a snack). Alice is very no tested in cats but has done ok with dog savvy cats who don’t run. She would probably pester a cat she could intimidate into running. At about 25lbs, Alice is perfect for adventures or cuddles and she is willing to play a part in both! Included in each adoption: age appropriate shots, microchip, and spay/neuter surgery. Prior to meeting or adopting any of our wonderful animals, we ask that you please fill out our online application:  https://form.jotform.com/223268341300041 We are a 100% volunteer organization and have to work other jobs to pay the bills. Please give us up to 48 hours to respond. Submission of an adoption application does not obligate you to adopt nor does it guarantee approval. We look forward to hearing from you. Story
Arwen is an incredibly loving, cuddly dog. She does have some separation anxiety that can lead her to bark a lot when she's not with her people. She is a purebred that we purchased from Petland, but I do not know where her registration papers are. She's very smart, but my daughter was not consistent enough with her to get her house trained. She does well on a leash. If you have the time and attention to give her, she will be the most loving dog you'll ever meet. I've never had a dog that wanted to cuddle and love on you as much as Arwen. We are heartbroken to let her go, but with my daughter going to college soon, we can't give her the time and attention she needs.
