Story
We are looking for help in finding a new home for a sweet ~8-10 year old Beagle/Bassett mix, Chelsea. She is my mother in laws dog, and sadly she is in the hospital and will not be returning home. She rescued Chelsea in March of 2021. Chelsea is a chill dog who loves humans and is looking for her next family that wants to snuggle up on the couch! She is house trained and has also been trained to stay in the yard without leash. Chelsea needs to go to a home where she would be the only dog as she currently is afraid of other dogs (even small ones). She would get along best in a quiet home as she sometimes gets startled by loud or unexpected noises. Please let me know what questions we can answer about this sweet girl!

These pups are in Durham, North Carolina too!

Story
Riz is what we guess to be a beagle/lab mix puppy with a name as charismatic as her personality. If you ask the 3-year-old in her foster home, though, she goes by Ball-and honestly, it suits her playful, bouncy spirit perfectly! This sweetheart is the full package. Food-motivated and eager to please, Riz is a dream when it comes to training. She's people-oriented and will happily be your constant shadow, whether you're out exploring or snuggling on the couch. And let's not forget her signature move: the classic beagle head tilt that will absolutely melt your heart! Riz is great with kids, loves other dogs, and has even met a cat. She's currently mastering crate training and potty training, making great progress on both fronts. If you're looking for a loyal, loving, and endlessly charming companion, Riz (or Ball!) is ready to bring her boundless joy and cuddles to your home. Don't you want to make this adorable pup part of your family?

Story
Bet is what we think to be a beagle/lab mix puppy with a name as clever as she is. According to the 3-year-old in her foster home, she answers to Scratch, and honestly, she's so agreeable she'll happily respond to both! With her sweet demeanor and playful energy, Bet is the kind of pup who will bring endless joy to your life. This little charmer is food-motivated, which makes training a breeze, and she's incredibly people-oriented, always ready to be your loyal sidekick. Whether you're looking for a cuddle buddy, a playmate, or someone to make you laugh with her classic beagle head tilt, Bet is the total package. She's great with kids, friendly with other dogs, and has even met a cat. Currently, she's making great strides with crate training and potty training, showing just how smart and eager to learn she is. If you're ready for a pup who will agree with everything you say (and love you unconditionally), Bet (or Scratch) is your girl! Don't miss your chance to welcome this lovable sweetheart into your family.

Story
Hi, I'm Dexter! I'm an adorable Beagle mix, and I'm estimated to be about 6 years old. I'm a cute little fellow, weighing about 16 pounds. I was found as a stray. Life on the streets was tough for a little guy like me, and I was glad to get some TLC from my foster parents when I got home. I was weak and was having some skin problems when I first arrived, but I take baths like a champ, so now my coat is filling in and I'm doing so much better! I've been eating well and have regained my strength- I'm strong enough to jump right up on the couch with you. My favorite thing in life is... you! I love my humans and I always want to be close to them. I love going for walks with my humans, and I'm super easy to walk- you could walk me with one finger! I get along well with other animals, especially those closer to my size. I get excited about seeing other dogs my size and may let you know I'd like to meet them. I get along well with my foster sister, who is a big pit bull, and sometimes I check in on my cat siblings as well- mainly because I like the smell of their food! Sometimes I bark when I see big dogs that I don't know, because I don't want them to swallow me whole. I think I would get along well with most pets, particularly if they are smaller. I love a good snuggle. I'm a true lap dog, and I'll binge watch your favorite TV show nuzzled into your side for hours! I would rather cuddle with you than play with toys. I'm also house trained and crate trained, so if you're busy I tend to go right to my crate and burrow into my blankets. I love a cozy crate, almost as much as I love my humans. I sleep through the night in my crate with no problem, and if you sit down with me right when you wake me up in the morning, you are in for some serious cuddling! I'm as excited to see you as a little puppy! In general, I'm in great health and heart worm-free! I'll make a great companion for someone who is looking for a sweet, chill, funny, and affectionate companion. I would also be a great choice for a first time dog parent. No drama here, just constant love and cuddles! Did I mention how cute I am? You should come see for yourself!
