Hi! My name is Layla and I am from Arkansas. From her foster: Layla is a sweet girl. She likes going on walks and laying outside but not as much as she likes napping and food. She is in her golden years so she doesn't have a lot of energy but she will let you know if she ever wants to play. She loves butt scratches and she is one to follow you around the house so that you aren't ever lonely. She can be a bit vocal when she needs to go outside but we see it as a positive because she doesn't have accidents inside. She does great with cats, dogs, and all people including children. She is crate trained but sometimes needs a treat as motivation to go in. We love her and we know that you will too!

When Irish eyes are smiling, does that mean they are happy? Or maybe they had too many pints at the pub? My eyes are smiling, and I am a non drinker, just want to have full disclosure here! Even though my eyes were smiling in these pictures. I was desperate for help for my little one, Lewis. You see, he was dying...full of internal and external parasites he really had no fight left in him and I knew it as his mother... so I used my Irish eyes to get us saved. AND IT WORKED!! Our lives are do amazing now, Lewis is alive and well after some very intense care, and ADOPTED INTO AN AMAZING HOME!!! I am not ever producing more babies, so it is all good! Now I get my turn for love, comfort and safety and a FOREVER HOME!! I am an adorable girl, about 50# of low-rider basset/heeler-ness. I am great with other dogs and like to play keep away! You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Pudding and her 3 siblings found themselves unwanted and on death row in a high kill shelter in West Texas. They love other dogs. They love everyone and everything, cats are unknown however likely ok with slow intros and supervision. All dogs and puppies require supervision and training. Pudding made the long trip from Texas to Minnesota with her siblings in the middle of November. She is proving to be equal parts cute, sweet, and smart! She is quite the gem! Pudding is excelling at potty training, always keeps her crate clean and potties quickly when she is let outside. She has been using puppy pads inside to help with the longer stretchs in the schedule but doesn't soil them very often. Crate training is improving every day. She currently spends roughly 5 hours in her crate overnight and 6 hours during the day while we are at work. She goes in willingly with treats and quiets after a few minutes. We are just starting to work on being comfortable on a leash, and that is coming along nicely as well. Pudding has fun bursts of puppy enegry where she likes to zoom around, or chase her foster sister, or chew on a toy, but after that, it's all cuddles. Although she doesn't bark often, she does have that hound dog bay that makes her sound 3× bigger than she is. Shared walls would not be recommended. We're enjoying watching her blossom and learn how to be the good girl that she is, but we have our fingers and paws crossed that her forever family finds her so she can go live her best life!
