You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Idelle! This adorable Basset Hound/Beagle mix is a sweet, low-maintenance pup who loves snuggles, playtime, and treats! She’s leash-trained, eager to please, and great with people of all ages and dogs of all sizes. Idelle is still working on potty training, but her food motivation makes learning fun! She can be a little cautious in new places, but give her a few minutes (and maybe a treat or two), and she’ll warm right up! Her inner hound shines when she wants attention—yes, she howls to let you know! Looking for a playful, affectionate, and loyal companion? Idelle is ready to howl her way into your heart! Idelle is from Texas.  If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. Story
Peanut was unfortunately abandoned and basically either left tied around a bush or put in a kennel for the first 6 months of his life. I rescued him when animal control was called and I’ve had him since about August 2024. I believe he was born in December, 2023. He was neutered a few weeks ago. He is a good dog but does have some behavioral issues. He is very stubborn and doesn’t want to listen. He’s just too much for me to handle with my current living situation and inability to get him exercise as he needs. He is high energy at times yet also very snuggly and relaxed. He is struggling to learn he can’t jump on others when he’s excited. He’s a typical Bully Bassett. Needs a loving home with someone who can spend more time with him. I think having other pets could also be beneficial to get his energy out and occupy his time so he doesn’t get so sad when his owner leaves.

These pups are in Princeton, Minnesota too!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Pedro – The Speed-Eating Snugglebug Pedro entered the world in the laundry room after his stray mama was rescued from a parking lot, and he’s been making life more entertaining ever since. This little guy is all puppy—playful, full of energy, and ready to be your best friend. He loves toys, zooming around, and mealtime (maybe too much—he’s the fastest eater in the litter and will happily help himself to his siblings’ bowls if given the chance!). Potty training? Not quite there yet—he’s got the potty pad thing down but still needs guidance for outdoor training. If you’re looking for a fun, playful pup who will keep you laughing (and make sure no kibble goes to waste), Pedro might just be the perfect addition to your family! Pedro is from Texas.  If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Niah is a cuddly, playful pup with a heart full of love and an eager spirit to learn! She’s already making great progress with her leash training, crate training, and potty training, though being a young pup, she still has a little way to go. With time and patience, she’s sure to master all the basics and become an amazing companion. Niah loves attention and would thrive in a home where she can be the center of it all—she prefers to be the only dog in the household. If you’re looking for a sweet, intelligent puppy to train, shower with love, and enjoy endless cuddle sessions with, Niah would be the perfect fit for you! Niah is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 3/22/2025 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 9am and noon.
