Story
When Irish eyes are smiling, does that mean they are happy? Or maybe they had too many pints at the pub? My eyes are smiling, and I am a non drinker, just want to have full disclosure here! Even though my eyes were smiling in these pictures. I was desperate for help for my little one, Lewis. You see, he was dying...full of internal and external parasites he really had no fight left in him and I knew it as his mother... so I used my Irish eyes to get us saved. AND IT WORKED!! Our lives are do amazing now, Lewis is alive and well after some very intense care, and ADOPTED INTO AN AMAZING HOME!!! I am not ever producing more babies, so it is all good! Now I get my turn for love, comfort and safety and a FOREVER HOME!! I am an adorable girl, about 50# of low-rider basset/heeler-ness. I am great with other dogs and like to play keep away! I am ready when you are, do your stuff so we can ride off into the sunset, in air conditioning, of course! Adoption application: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/GDR/Dog Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area)

Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org I Luv Kids - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! Hello all you fabulous people out there!! Let me introduce myself, I'm I Luv Kids, but you can call me Luvey! I'm here hoping for a family, a home...one to call my very own! I am one of the most sweetest lil gals you'll have the pleasure to meet. I do great with people but absolutely adore the smaller versions!! I'm around 5years old. That fabulous age where I'm way out of the puppy destructive stage but still wanting to get out there and enjoy adventures with my people! Walks around the neighborhood, nature trails, car rides, camping trips...you name it, I'm ready to enjoy it...with you!! I am house trained already so that lets us get right to the fun stuff! I also am very well mannered and know some basic commands. I walk well on the leash and love to stop and smell the roses instead of bulldozing right over them! I do great with people, adore the kiddos, play well with the other pups here in my foster home and I even don't mind those creatures y'all call a cat! I'm a little shortstack coming in at 47lbs but have those short lil stubby bassett/dach legs. I may be short is stature but I've got a heart bigger than the state of TX and have no problems wiggling my way into yours!! I would be a pawesomely perfect pawtner to add to your family, even for that first time pet parent! I've got the sweetness galore, manners and a love for....everything!! If I'd be a perfect fit for your home, please stop scrolling and fill out my adoption application. It can be found at haydudeequine.org

There's a new girl in town, and my name is Bethany! I am this adorable baby of around 6 months who is as sweet as can be, and I'm looking for a family, a home...one to call my very own. I am an affectionate and playful pup that is looking for a forever home where I can get all the attention and lovins I've been craving. I am super friendly and love everyone I meet. No stranger out there for me! Our walks may take a little longer as I love to go and greet everyone. I do great with all people from tall to small, other pups and even those strange things y'all call a cat! I's the perfect companion for an active family who wants a fun loving life pup with lots of love to give, and who will include me in their adventures, from the mundane daily to the weekend exciting. I come in at about 22lbs and shouldn't get a whole lot bigger making me a pawsomely perfect medium size. I's young, curious, and sweet, and so ready to be a heartbeat at someone's feet, could that be your feet?!! To add me to your family, all you need to do is stop and fill out my adoption application and I'll take it from there. You can find it at haydudeequine.org

Story
Meet Mahi! She loves to dance for attention and she’s so loving. She’s a dachshund or basset mix with maybe some shepherd in her. She’s about 10 months old and weighs 27 pounds.IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.November 4, 2024, 11:33 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Pudding and her 3 siblings found themselves unwanted and on death row in a high kill shelter in West Texas.  They love other dogs. They love everyone and everything, cats are unknown however likely ok with slow intros and supervision.  All dogs and puppies require supervision and training. Pudding made the long trip from Texas to Minnesota with her siblings in the middle of November. She is proving to be equal parts cute, sweet, and smart! She is quite the gem!  Pudding is excelling at potty training, always keeps her crate clean and potties quickly when she is let outside. She has been using puppy pads inside to help with the longer stretchs in the schedule but doesn't soil them very often. Crate training is improving every day. She currently spends roughly 5 hours in her crate overnight and 6 hours during the day while we are at work. She goes in willingly with treats and quiets after a few minutes.  We are just starting to work on being comfortable on a leash, and that is coming along nicely as well.  Pudding has fun bursts of puppy enegry where she likes to zoom around, or chase her foster sister, or chew on a toy, but after that, it's all cuddles.  Although she doesn't bark often, she does have that hound dog bay that makes her sound 3× bigger than she is. Shared walls would not be recommended.  We're enjoying watching her blossom and learn how to be the good girl that she is, but we have our fingers and paws crossed that her forever family finds her so she can go live her best life! First priority will go to someone who lives in the twin cities metro in order to bring to a vet visit.  Please put in your application on our website mattysheartandsoulanimalrescue.rescuegroups.org.      Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 26, 2024, 12:52 am

They love everyone and everything, cats are unknown however likely ok with slow intros and supervision.  All dogs and puppies require supervision and training.Hello I am Rigby, I am new to MN so I am trying to figure things out here. I have yet to meet a dog I don't like, big or small. I am respectful of the crabby ones too.   I love chewing on bones and I share them well with the other dogs here, we are always swapping them around. I enjoy chasing the big dog, but I just can't keep up with him with my little legs, it's ok, I wait for him to circle back and I try again. Zoomies in the house are so much fun as I can run right underneath him.  Playing tug with the toys or stuffies is another favorite past time of mine;I enjoy both toys that crinkle and/or squeek.  I have started to learn a game called fetch, but I don't know why humans always take it away and throw it again, but if that's the game they want to play, I am up for it.  I do like to chew on the toys, however and I am not really sure what all are toys and what aren't, so if you leave shoes or clothes on the floor I may walk off with them but I do easily give them up to you if you want them back.  I love to hang out on the couch or a comfy dog bed. I am somewhat of a couch potato.  I am pretty quiet, but please know I am a hound, so can I sing the song of my people if I feel the need. I am a velcro pup and like to be near the humans, big or small. I am a very gentle boy. I don't mind you going out of the room, but I may follow you if I feel you need some supervision.   I have met a cat and I didn't really care much about them, I did give her kisses and sniff, she was so sweet with me. So I would be ok with a dog savvy cat in the home and of course proper introductions. I am still young so I do get spurts of energy which apparently not all animals appreciate. I have enjoyed the car rides I have been on and I sleep snuggled on the dog bed in the back or will rest my head on the center console if I can reach it. I walk decently on a leash already, I've not been on one before coming to MN, so I am excited for the adventures these things bring. I am eagar to learn and love my atta boy praises, especially if there are treats involved. I know sit and I guess I am working on my recall, whatever that is. I am catching on to potty training, but not quite there yet. I know how to use a doggie door for going in/outside. I do enjoy the outdoors, even with the cooler MN weather.   I will use pee pad (but sometimes I miss or forget, oops). I am learning about kennel training and I now go in on my own to just chill. I go in super easy if you toss some treats  inside when you have to go somewhere.  I don't mind being in there when I eat my meals, but I do eat just fine next to the resident dogs too, one actually spits food out for me to eat, how awesome is that? I am not fussy on my food or my treats, I am not one to pass up food. I keep my kennel clean when I am in it, but I do prefer to have a companion near by. So the humans have me sleep in the same room with them and I will sleep all night that way. I have now been allowed to sleep on a dog bed on the floor. I would love to sleep in the bed with them, they tell me it will be up to my forever family to make that call. If you're looking for an inquistive, laid back, loyal pooch, I'm your guy.  First priority will go to someone who lives in the twin cities metro in order to bring to our vet partner for neuter appointment.  Please put in your application on our website mattysheartandsoulanimalrescue.rescuegroups.org.      Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 1, 2024, 3:59 pm
