Peanut was unfortunately abandoned and basically either left tied around a bush or put in a kennel for the first 6 months of his life. I rescued him when animal control was called and I’ve had him since about August 2024. I believe he was born in December, 2023. He was neutered a few weeks ago. He is a good dog but does have some behavioral issues. He is very stubborn and doesn’t want to listen. He’s just too much for me to handle with my current living situation and inability to get him exercise as he needs. He is high energy at times yet also very snuggly and relaxed. He is struggling to learn he can’t jump on others when he’s excited. He’s a typical Bully Bassett. Needs a loving home with someone who can spend more time with him. I think having other pets could also be beneficial to get his energy out and occupy his time so he doesn’t get so sad when his owner leaves.

Hi! My name is Twila and I am from Arkansas. I am a 3 year old 34 lb Basset Hound mix, living the low rider life! Short legs and fabulously long ears make me the belle of the ball :) I am super sweet, I am fine with other dogs, I tend to ignore them because sniffing and checking things out is more fun! The nice shelter people say I am sweet and cute as can be! From her foster: Twila is a super sweet little girl. Very loving. She is potty trained, pretty good on a leash. She sits for treats (sometimes). Twila likes to play with her tennis ball and stuffed toys. Twila loves running in the backyard and chasing squirrels and bunnies. She looks out the window and barks at squirrels and people that are outside. She sleeps in her kennel at night. She also goes in her kennel for quiet time. Twila does not whine when she goes in the kennel when foster mom runs errands. She loves car rides. She would love to have another active dog to play with. Twila would make a great addition to any family.

This medium-sized dog weighs around 40 lbs and has a gentle nature. Midnight gets along well with other dogs and children, but he hasn't yet been tested with cats.Found abandoned on the side of the road, Midnight has had a rough start but that hasn't let it stop his sweet personality from shining through.
