Story
Sherlock Bones is a14 wk old puppy that's ready for a loving home of his own. He loves other dogs and he is just overall a total doll. While he is a gentle little soul, he really loves his toys and playing with other dogs. He is smart and fun and will make a welcome addition to his new home! This puppy Is spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, treated for all of the intestinal parasites, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Because intestinal parasites are cyclical, your puppy may need additional treatment once you get him/her home. This is common and nothing to be alarmed about. Puppies and dogs need to be treated periodically for parasites throughout their entire lives. Visit our website to see our weekend Events here! Pups with the designated “meet me” next to their names are in CT and ready to attend adoption events. Please check with your adoption coordinator if you are interested in a specific dog prior to coming to an event, as a dog's availability to attend can change at any time. We can not guarantee approval on site at the events, so we recommend applying ahead of time. You can apply at the event, but the application process may not be able to be completed the same day. If you are not pre-approved, you are still welcome to come and meet pups at the event! The adoption fee is $600 which includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccinations, flea/tick and heartworm preventatives, and the mandatory CT HB 5368 fee. More and more of our adopters are having fun with DNA tests on their pups. You might ask yourself why our breed guess is varying degrees of difference from the DNA tests. Most of our puppies are rescued from high kill shelters or other abandonment situations and we have no info on parents. When we rescue puppies that have no background info, we make our very best educated guess as to breed mix and age. Our guesstimate comes from years and years and years of animal welfare work and training, but our guesses won't always agree with your vet, your neighbor, your DNA test, etc. The most important thing to know about your puppy's breed mix is that most likely he/she is a Super Lovable Mutt made of many many many different breeds. If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at the Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get an automatically generated confirmation email. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back. After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.

Story
Glady is about a year old and is ready to get started on her brand new life with a brand new family who would never dream in a million years of dumping her off in the country to fend for herself. However, if she could talk, we have a feeling that is exactly the story she would tell us. One of our foster families happened to see her wandering around looking confused and lost. They pulled up, opened the car door, she hopped in like she belonged there and off they went. They have had a for a couple of weeks to make sure she's a good girl, and they have reported she's a good girl unless you're of the feline variety. If you have kitties, they are NOT going to be pleased with the adoption of Gladys, but if you have other dogs and/or human kiddos, they'll be pleased as punch with this lovely girl. There's a lot of love and joy packed into Gladys' 45 lb-ish body. She's housebroken, nice on leash, nice medium energy level....she'll fit in with any loving family (without kitties). Apply to adopt Gladys at www.cprdogs.com. Gladys is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. All dogs 6 month + receive a Proheart 6 injection at the time of their heartworm test. This provides heartworm prevention for 6 months from the time of that injection. The adoption fee is $500 which includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccinations, flea/tick and heartworm preventatives, and the mandatory CT HB 5368 fee. This dog tested negative for heartworms. Story
Bingo is here, and if you’ve been looking for a dog who brings instant calm, easy affection, and that “how are you even real?” kind of goodness… you just found him. This low-riding, soft-hearted boy (maybe a white basset mix, but rescue rules apply… no guarantees) is estimated to be around 1.5 years old and weighs 47 lbs of pure, lovable charm. Go watch Bingo Big Heart, Low Rider Life on YouTube, then come right back to read more about your new favorite boy. https://youtu.be/n4xXDJzOB4A Bingo is what we’d call a quiet superstar. He’s incredibly social, deeply loving, and carries himself with this steady, confident gentleness that makes everyone feel comfortable right away. He’s the kind of dog who walks into a room and, without doing much of anything, becomes everyone’s favorite. Kids, adults, new people… he greets the world with warmth and an open heart. Belly rubs? Yes. Leaning into you like you’re his person already? Also yes. With other dogs, Bingo is respectful, well-mannered, and socially smart. He greets politely, reads cues beautifully, and knows how to advocate for himself when needed. When paired with a very pushy dog, he was very patient through her knocking him down, pawing at him roughly, and he took his time before offering any correction, and when he did, it was fair and appropriate. He’s not interested in chaos or constant play, so he’d do best with calmer, easygoing dogs who are happy to just exist alongside him. Cats? Big fan! He met our house cat with the ease of old friends and it was no more that a few minutes before he was happily cuddling up with him like it was a natural part of their daily routine, so a home with a dog-friendly cat would make him so happy but dog-savvy or independent cats would suit him just as well. Energy-wise, Bingo is refreshingly low-key. He enjoys a little wandering, a few short walks, and then he’s ready to settle in and relax. He doesn’t need miles of exercise or constant entertainment. He’s more of a “let’s hang out and enjoy the day together” kind of dog. The kind who makes your home feel softer just by being in it. His one quirk is his leash work. Bingo isn’t fully leash trained yet, chalk it up to him being young or his lack of interest in getting 10,000 steps in. A little sweet talk works wonderfully and at his “worst,” if he’s unsure or decides he’s not interested in going a certain direction, he’ll simply lay down and request a belly rub. It’s a bit of stubborn sweetness… more “I’d rather not” than anything reactive. With patience, encouragement, and consistency, he’ll absolutely improve, but his future family should be ready to guide him through that. Beyond that, he’s as easy as they come. He handled all forms of touch and handling beautifully, even relaxing through nail trims and asking for more affection after. He recovers quickly from stress, adapts well to new environments, and truly just wants to be near his people. Bingo would thrive in a home that matches his calm, affectionate nature. A relaxed household, a couple of short daily walks, maybe some kids to love on him, and a cozy spot to land… that’s his version of a perfect life. He doesn’t need a lot, but what he gives in return is everything. If you’re looking for a steady, loving, low-key companion who will quietly become the best part of your day… Bingo is ready and waiting!
