Story
Meet Mary Ann and Ginger, an adorable bonded pair of medium-sized rescue dogs who are searching for their forever home. These super cute girls have spent their entire lives on their own until they were recently rescued. Despite their rough beginnings, Mary Ann and Ginger are incredibly sweet and are now learning to enjoy the comforts of a loving home. Both Mary Ann and Ginger get along wonderfully with other dogs, though they haven't had the chance to meet any cats yet. They need a patient adopter who will give them the time and space they need to adjust to their new surroundings and discover the joys of being cherished pets. Ginger, who bravely underwent heartworm treatment, is now healthy and heartworm negative. Both dogs are fully vetted, spayed, microchipped, and on preventatives. They even tolerate baths and absolutely love being petted. Currently, Mary Ann and Ginger are being fostered in Seguin, TX, where they are receiving the care and love they deserve. If you have a kind heart and a gentle hand, these two sweethearts will surely reward you with endless affection and loyalty. Adopt Mary Ann and Ginger and give them the loving home they've always dreamed of.

Story
Eel is a stunning brown beauty with a heart of gold. This intelligent and gentle soul is seeking a peaceful haven to call her own. A lover of quiet moments and gentle companionship, Eel is looking for a special someone who can appreciate her calm demeanor and desire for a tranquil life. Eel is a loyal companion who forms deep bonds with her humans. Once she trusts you, her devotion is unwavering. She's looking for a patient and understanding adopter who can provide her with the love, training, and quiet environment she deserves. She has also lived with cats in a previous home! She's a quick learner with a passion for mental stimulation. Currently working with a private trainer, Eel is already mastering commands like sit, down, shake, and place. Her exceptional recall and ability to pick up new tricks quickly make her a joy to train. Imagine the thrill of teaching her new skills and watching her confidence grow! She recently sent the following letter back to us to update us on her progress and wanted to share it with her future family: "I’ve had the opportunity to receive training beyond the APA! walls and am currently living in the Houston area. I like to think of it as “studying abroad!” I’ve received some one-on-one attention from my trainer friend at Gray Wolf Canine Rehabilitation who has helped me further work through some challenges. Now with some extra coursework, I’m ready to graduate out of the sheltering system and into an adoptive home! And as soon as I find a home, my spot at Gray Wolf gives another dog just like me a chance to broaden their horizons! I’ve been working on my dog socialization skills, leash skills, and trust-building with humans. I used to have a hard time meeting new people and getting easily overstimulated, but these days, I’m more centered, confident, and at ease. I’ve been successfully introduced to many different personalities and environments, and now I look to my handler/person for guidance and direction so that our experiences stay positive. My true spunky and fun personality, after decompressing outside of a busy shelter, has really come out!" If you're seeking a sophisticated and intelligent companion who loves to learn and explore, Eel might be the perfect match for you. And if you'd like to read more about the one-on-one attention Eel is getting from her trainer friend at Gray Wolf Canine Rehabilitation head to this blog: https://www.austinpetsalive.org/blog/thinking-outside-the-shelter-walls-to-support-dogs-in-need

Story
We adopted Samual about 6 months ago from the Georgetown shelter. He is about 2 years old. We already had a dog and thought two dogs would be great. Unfortunately two dogs is a lot, and we have had our other dog about for about 5 years. She is a pitbull mix and at times snaps at him. He is a good dog and very loving. He likes to play with toys and go on walks. Easy to walk with little tugging.. Sammy is very playful at times but also enjoys his chill moments. He is crate and home trained, which makes him a great companion. He can be a bit skittish, but warms up quickly. He is a vocal and barks when excited. However, due to my other dog, I am trying to get him an environment he deserves. Willing to bring Sammy to you. I am flexible time and date. About Samual: - Weight: 30 lbs - Temperament: Playful, skittish - Health: Spayed/Neutered - Good with: Other dogs - Favorite Activities: Playing fetch, cuddling on the couch, and exploring
