Story
Coooer is THE most wonderful dog around . His temporary foster says “ you can’t believe how wonderful he is with children “. Super lovable, super sweet. They really can’t say enough good thing about this guy. Sadly, someone took him out of the county shelter. He was found again in an area notorious for dog fighting. They believe he was going to be used as a bait dog. Hence the temporary foster. They’re afraid out him back in the shelter. This guy would flourish in any situation. Family, companion. Vaccinated, neutered, hw-. Ready to start his new life… are you ready to be a hero?

Story
Champ is a handsome one-year-old, 48 lb. Basenji mix with gentle brown eyes, a soft coat, and an irresistible smile. Abandoned by his previous family in June while they moved, Champ spent an hour at the shelter door, crying for their return. The pain of that abandonment hit him hard, leaving him terrified and struggling. As he grappled with depression and kennel reactivity, we knew we had to save him and give Champ a fresh start. That’s when he took a life-changing freedom flight from North Carolina to Connecticut, ready to find his true furever family. Though Champ has faced hardships, his spirit shines brightly. With time, patience, and love, he has transformed into a lovable cuddle buddy who adores making friends, both two and four-legged. He previously lived with children as well so he’s an ideal family dog! Champ’s playful personality and charming demeanor make him a social butterfly, always eager to join in on the fun. He absolutely loves toys and is learning to fetch, often inviting you to play by dropping a toy in your lap. As a young pup who never had the benefit of structure or training, Champ is looking for someone to help him learn the basics. He’s very smart, food motivated, housetrained, and is working hard on leash manners. Champ thrives in the company of other dogs so he'd prefer to go to a home with a furry sibling and must have a fenced yard where he can run off his energy. If you’re ready to give Champ the love he deserves, you’ll gain a loyal companion who will fill your life with joy and adventure. His adoption fee is $400 and Champ is vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, and neutered. *Name: Archie *Age: approx 5.5 years old *Current Weight: 52 lbs *Adoption fee: $475 Meet Archie!! This incredible 5.5 year old basenji mix is pure joy in dog form.. his theme song should be Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah as he happily skips through life! Archie has a bright sunny aura that follows him everywhere it’s impossible not to smile when in his presence. Social butterfly Archie just adores people and loves to be in good company. He was voted “Best Greeter” at our Adoption Center because he is one of the friendliest dogs we have there!  He says hello with big circular tail wags, humble hops of happiness and an eagerness to partner up and take on the day with you.  Could you imagine coming home to this everyday? Simply divine!  Archie is incredibly trainable and seeks out opportunities to show off his skills for a treat! Ask him to sit, down, look or give paw and Archie will eagerly oblige. This intelligent boy is the best version of himself when he has daily exercise and enrichment games, although he never passes up an opportunity to snooze a Sunday afternoon with his head in your lap on the couch! Archie’s leash skills are fantastic too as he walks in step with you and explores his surroundings. Long walks, hikes in the woods or a fenced in yard to allow him freedom to run are all great outlets for Archie!  Archie has made some doggy friends during his time at the Adoption Center and continues to do well socializing. Archie would prefer a home without children under the age of 10.  Archie’s well balanced and good natured temperament is doggie perfection. If you’re looking for an active sidekick to bring sunshine into your life, you have found it! Come visit Archie today! He is currently located at our adoption center in Brewster, NY!  To apply to adopt, fill out an application at https://snarrnortheast.org/adopt/ PLEASE CLICK HERE FOR FAQs  ##1948538##

Story
Meet Mary Ann and Ginger, an adorable bonded pair of medium-sized rescue dogs who are searching for their forever home. These super cute girls have spent their entire lives on their own until they were recently rescued. Despite their rough beginnings, Mary Ann and Ginger are incredibly sweet and are now learning to enjoy the comforts of a loving home. Both Mary Ann and Ginger get along wonderfully with other dogs, though they haven't had the chance to meet any cats yet. They need a patient adopter who will give them the time and space they need to adjust to their new surroundings and discover the joys of being cherished pets. Ginger, who bravely underwent heartworm treatment, is now healthy and heartworm negative. Both dogs are fully vetted, spayed, microchipped, and on preventatives. They even tolerate baths and absolutely love being petted. Currently, Mary Ann and Ginger are being fostered in Seguin, TX, where they are receiving the care and love they deserve. If you have a kind heart and a gentle hand, these two sweethearts will surely reward you with endless affection and loyalty. Adopt Mary Ann and Ginger and give them the loving home they've always dreamed of.

Meet Hyunmi💕 (It means brown rice in Korean) • Interaction with People: Hyunmi likes people but is still getting used to being handled. Through gentle interaction, he is slowly becoming more comfortable with human touch. • Interaction with Dogs: He approaches larger dogs to sniff and tries to engage with them. Hyunmi plays well with other dogs and understands rejection signals. • Separation Anxiety: Since he lives in a communal setting at the shelter, it’s unclear if he experiences separation anxiety. • Potty Training: He is currently being trained to avoid the outdoors while living at the shelter. 💟 Special Notes💟 • Hyunmi is somewhat timid and may get startled and squeal when startled by rough play.
