My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Wow – talk about potential! If you love the sound of a social, confident, bright pup – meet Conner! This leggy 7 month old classic black and white rough coat is the total package. With a wonderful temperament and optimistic nature, Conner is going to make some BC lover’s dreams come true!

Conner loves everyone and everything – people, other dogs, new experiences, you name it! He rolls with the punches, has never known a stranger, and given his even temper and outgoing nature, is a candidate for families with kids. Conner gets along well with other dogs of all sizes and kinds and truly enjoys wrestling and a good game of chase with another canine buddy. He does well around dog savvy indoor cats. He enjoys chew toys filled with treats, squeaky toys and is showing some interest in fetching. Currently he prefers to run behind and circle the resident dogs fetching but suspect he will soon become a fetcher himself. Conner is a high energy young fellow and will need an active home that will keep him busy mentally and physically – a couple hours of vigorous exercise daily - as well as include him in their daily lives.

This little superstar is eager to learn and is going to be a delight to train. He is crate trained, sleeps through the night without a sound and has not had one accident during the past five weeks in his vigilant foster home. Of course, Conner is still just a pup and will need everything a pup needs: continued socialization, lots and lots of training, and adopters who have the time and energy to raise a young one right!

Conner is current on vaccinations, heartworm test negative, and is microchipped. He was neutered April 3, 2013 and will be available after April 10.

Originally from a Utah shelter, where he was surrendered by a family who was moving, Conner arrived to WBCR with an infected salivary gland which has been treated with antibiotics. While the infection is gone, a small lump remains. The veterinarian recommends no surgery at this time and continued monitoring in the future.

All in all, if you are looking for a puppy with a wonderful nature, Conner is IT! This kiddo is sure to be a most delightful canine companion and is suitable to a wide variety of homes. If you have the time to devote to raising a young one, and love the thought of a pup oozing with potential – Conner may be the one for you!

Conner is living in a loving foster home in Fort Collins, CO.
