Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Jack is an approx. 1.5 y.o. Catahoula boy. He wandered into our backyard one day, and we cannot keep him because our male dog wants to kill him (our dog does not tolerate other male dogs). Jack is the sweetest dog ever. He is about 60 lbs, tall and lanky.
He has a wonderful personality - he is very smart (picks up commands very quickly), very loving (will do anything for some attention), listens well, he is great with other dogs and cats. We don't have children so I am not sure how he is with children, but I can't imagine he's anything but sweet. The only thing I'd point out is that he is a 'paw-er'. Some dogs lick to show love and ask for attention, Jack 'paws'. He never ever means to hurt you, but being a big dog he can get you with his paw sometimes if you're not careful.
Jack is a very gentle soul, and judging by his reactions he might have been abused by his previous owners. He wants nothing more than to be safe and loved. He will do great as the only dog or as part of a pack. We have cats and he is great with them (ignores them for the most part). He is not used to the car, but once inside he does great. Despite being a young dog, he is very well behaved - he is not a chewer (as in furniture or other inappropriate things)and he can spend most of the day on his own as long as you give him some attention and exercise at some point. He is not a fence jumper either - we have a 4 ft fence and he never tried to jump it (and had plenty of opportunities to do so).
Jack just wants to be loved. He is simply perfect! All he needs is his forever home.
Jack is urgent due to the fact that our male dog really wants to go after him. Please consider opening your heart and home to this sweet, loving boy.
