Their adoption process

We are looking for furrever homes for our cats and kittens, but will take them back if it doesn't work out. Our cats MUST be indoors only, no exceptions!! We will be happy to refer you to other rescues, shelters, etc. if there is any question or you want indoor/outdoor cat.

Adoption steps

  1. Submit Application
    1. Cats and kittens seen on Adopt-A-Pet, and other sites they cover, will be seen online by potential adopter, and, app is then submitted.
  2. Interview
    1. Angus & Friends will then contact applicant to determine if it will be a good fit, or to recommend others cats/kittens.
  3. Approve Application
    1. Notify applicant that application is approved, set up time for adopter to receive cat, and conduct a home visit at time of delivery.
  4. Sign Adoption Contract
    1. Adopter and rescue have mutual option to opt out at delivery. If adopter keeps cat, adoption contract and fees are completed/collected.
  5. Take the Pet Home
    1. Adoptions may be thru phone/online/in person process above, or may be conducted at a local pet store such as Petsmart, or Pet Food Express.
  6. Take the Pet Home
    1. Angus & Friends will always take our cats back if for any reason at any time it is not working out, and will refund adoption fee.

More about this rescue

Angus & Friends is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in California. Angus was an approximately 15 y.o. orange tabby found on death's door by people who lived in his neighborhood who assumed he had a home. He didn't, but probably did at one time, because he turned out to be friendly, though very sick. We tried to save him, but he ultimately had to be put down because he was not recovering after a blood transfusion due to flea anemia. Our goal is to help as many homeless cats and kittens as possible to get off the mean streets and find a furrever home.
