My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lainey is a seven-month-old petite white female kitty with gray tabby spots. She is sweet and gentle, good with other cats, and does the cutest little dance at meal times. She loves treats and getting pets and scratches. Lainey also enjoys sitting in a warm lap and being loved on. She is very vocal and will meow when she wants affection.

We rescued Lainey, her brother, and two other kittens from a backyard in Hicksville as part of a TNR project. Her brother has already been adopted.

Lainey is spayed, fully vaccinated (distemper and rabies), microchipped, dewormed, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, and we provide copies of all medical records.

More about this rescue

We are a small foster-based cat rescue, serving the Port Washington, Manhasset, Roslyn, and Great Neck areas. We started this rescue 15 years ago when we came upon several large colonies of cats in our neighborhood that were rapidly multiplying and could not find a shelter or rescue to help take in any of the kittens. So we learned how to socialize and vet the kittens and find them forever homes on our own. At the same time, we learned how to trap, neuter, and return (TNR) to keep those colonies from reproducing. We now rescue, fix and find homes for around 70 cats and kittens per year. We are all volunteer-based and our fosters include close friends and neighbors.
