Birdie and her brother, Lugnut, were less than 3 months old when we were able to rescue them from a Code Red situation from an overcrowded high-kill shelter. Lugnut has since found his new family but Birdie is still looking for her forever home. Birdie is friendly, playful and lots of fun. She gets along with kids and most other dogs (she met one dog she didn't care for much but haven't we all met someone we didn't like? This is why we do meet and greets to make sure all dogs in the home will get along.) We do not know what she thinks of cats. Birdie is otherwise an easy going girl. Birdie is about 11 months old and 55 pounds. If you’re looking for a sweet, loving girl who’s eager to explore the world with you, Birdie could be the perfect match. We do NOT ship our animals. All adoptive families must travel to us to meet their adoptive dog/cat. Applicants must live within a 2 hour radius from Sparta/Andover (07871/07821).
Please understand that we are an animal shelter and thus unable to say whether the dogs are housebroken as they are not in homes.

Birdie's adoption fee is $425. This covers all their age-appropriate shots, microchipping and vetting.
**If you are coming to an adoption event to see a certain dog/cat, please email ahead of time to make sure that dog/cat will be there that day. Please email 1-2 days before the event, as some animals are placed during the week and our list is constantly changing.
