My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Our Husker Weim Rescue Foster Bella is like peeling layers as this girl is learning about life. A lovely dream is to find that active weimaraner knowledgeable family who goes running, or walking trails. You know how that goes, a tired weim is a happy weim.

This is Bella! Bella is 2years-7 months old so she has lots of energy yet! She came from a home with a lot of kids, but we recommend no little ones due to her energy and strength. Her favorite pal at doggy playgroup is a male Mastiff. We really don't know about cats. A fenced in yard would be awesome with the active weimaraner expeerienced home with Weimaraner experience.

She is currently staying at S&B Kountry Kennel located outside of Omaha. Nebraska-Glenwood, Iowa & is working with their trainer on obedience, leash training and some resource guarding. If you are interested in Miss Bella fill out our application at huskerweimrescue.com & email it to us at huskerweimrescue@gmail.com.

More about this rescue

Husker Weim Rescue, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)3. We are a volunteer run organization. We have no paid staff or board members. We rely on foster homes. We are not a shelter. At Husker Weim Rescue, Inc, we have dedicated our lives to rescuing and saving homeless, unwanted, abandoned, neglected, and abused Weimaraners and Weimaraner mixes. We also accept owner surrenders and stray surrenders.

Many people think when a rescue is suggested for their Weim, it's because they are abused, neglected, or abandoned but that is not always the case. Sometimes it's a change of lifestyle for their owners. We strive to provide a smooth change of lifestyle for the Weimaraner as they start a new journey with a new family. We have no age limits. If a Weimaraner needs help, we help. No dog is left behind.

We are completely funded by donations. Donations make rescues and rehabilitation possible, along with finding these beautiful, smart, and extremely friendly animals homes.
