Chubby is an adorable 7-year old+ male kitty who was found on Greene Street in Marietta Ohio and brought to the HSOV by a Good Samaritan on November 15, 2024.
This sweet senior appeared to have suffered an old injury of sorts since he was a bit wobbly/unsteady on his feet, so we were thankful that he is safely in a warm place so that we can keep an eye on him .. And thankful that he will have plenty of good nutritious food and extra TLC.
Chubby has a black-and-white short smooth coat, a long tail, and the sweetest face with hopeful golden eyes, a black beauty mark on his pink nose, and long white whiskers.
Chubby was given vaccinations, wormer, and flea treatment on November 15, 2024. He weighed 9.2 lbs that day.
This awesome guy may look a little rough-around-the-edges, but if you look 'beneath the surface' (where it really counts) you will soon appreciate his personality .. And Chubby will likely melt your heart when he comes to the front of his cage to seek attention.
Chubby has already been neutered, so we hope that someone is missing this older gentleman and will know that he is safely in our shelter.

The HSOV Adoption application is available at our shelter during normal hours of operation and may also be completed online via our website.

Shelter management reviews applications for approval. If approved, potential adopters will be notified.

Take the Pet Home
All HSOV dogs and cats must be spayed/neutered before being adopted and going to their new home.

Our adoption process includes an adoption application which must be completed and approved by our shelter management. We verify veterinarian references and also approval from landlords if the pet will be housed in rental property. Home visits may also be required prior to adoption. All dogs/cats must be spayed/neutered before being adopted.
Adoption fee for dogs is $150.00 which includes vaccinations, wormer, flea treatment, dog tag, microchip, and spay/neuter.
Adoption fee for cats is $40 and includes vaccinations, wormer, flea treatment, and spay/neuter. Most adult cats (and kittens over 3-months of age) have already been spayed/neutered.
Adoption fees for other species varies.

We work very hard with our rescue groups to move our animals quickly and safely. We do this because we work for those who have no voice.
