My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Rue, the gentle soul who loves to soak up the sun while gazing out the window and napping in her cozy spots. This sweet girl may take a little time to warm up, but once she does, she’ll shower you with headbutts and cuddle up right beside you. Every time her foster comes home, Rue greets them with a soft meow and a little chatter, ready to share her day!

Rue is quite the conversationalist! She has plenty to say, from playfully yelling at her toys during a good chase to grumbling when her beloved Churu is empty. Smart and communicative, Rue knows how to express her needs—just watch her sit and meow by the cat grass enclosure when she’s ready for a snack, or tap the doorknob to let you know she wants to check out the view through the front door.

While Rue has had a rocky history with other cats, she’s the queen of her castle and enjoys being the center of attention. With a slow introduction, she might tolerate a feline friend, but she’s perfectly content ruling her domain solo. Her foster absolutely adores how Rue expresses her opinions through her many vocalizations; her personality shines through in every meow!

As she continues to warm up to her humans, Rue is learning to ask for pets and lap time, and she’s on the road to becoming a loyal companion. Although she might communicate her boundaries with an occasional swat (no claws), she truly has a soft heart. Rue loves being picked up and hugged, is comfortable with having her claws trimmed, and enjoys a good brushing session.

This lovely lady prefers clay litter, likes dry food, and has no interest in venturing outside. After starting her foster journey on Prozac, Rue has now transitioned off and is thriving! Please keep in mind that Rue may need some extra time to adjust to a new home, and her strong personality can be a bit dramatic at times—ideal for an adopter who understands the beauty of a unique feline character.

If you’re ready to welcome a vocal and loving companion into your life, Rue is waiting to share her love and many adventures with you! Please note she would require a patient and experienced adopter.
