Meet Deuteronomy, the Shy but Sweet Diamond in the Rough!
Deuteronomy is a 5-year-old cat with a heart full of potential, just waiting for the right person to help him shine. He’s a little shy at first, but with patience and understanding, he’ll blossom into a loyal and loving companion. Though he’s not quite a cuddler yet, he’s very curious about people and enjoys being around them. Once he feels comfortable, you’ll see his true, affectionate side come out.
Deuteronomy may take a little time to warm up, but once he trusts you, he’ll be a gentle and devoted friend. He’s looking for a kind and patient person who’s ready to give him the time he needs to settle in and show what a sweet, loyal cat he can be. If you're looking for a unique cat who just needs a little extra love and space to grow, Deuteronomy is the perfect match!
Deuteronomy is FIV positive, but don't let that scare you! With proper care and attention, FIV-positive cats can live long, happy lives and make wonderful companions. We ask an adoption fee of $175 Which includes a general health exam, spay /neuter surgery, and microchip ID implant, Felv/FIV testing, age-appropriate vaccinations including rabies.

More about this rescue

Meowsquad is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization started in 2019. Our goal is to reduce the large stray and feral cat population of New York City by using Trap Neuter Return (TNR) techniques as well as working with the community to find forever homes for cats and kittens that can be resocialized. We also aim to relocate those who cannot be returned into safe, working environments.
