My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sassy and her brother Sid came into the RCC fold after Tropical Storm Ernesto took out a fence, allowing a neighboring dog to kill their mom. The kittens weren’t quite weaned yet, but it wasn’t long before Sassy was eating solid food, using litter, drinking water from a bowl, and just plain fitting into her new situation. She is an incredibly fast learner, independent, and is all about play. When she met Opie (also ready for his forever home), they became fast buds. Even though she was a few weeks younger than him, they played like siblings.

Her unique markings include an O on each side, a tattoo on her neck, and a combo of stripes, swirls and spots.

Sassy is entertaining and curious. The way to her heart is toys (keep ‘em handy – on the couch to dangle/toss, in bed to hide under sheets, a few to toss so she can retrieve . She’d do great in a household with another kitty that likes to play (like her brother Sid), or maybe one with kids who have the energy to meet her energy.  When it’s time to cuddle, she’s been more of a kitten to be by you than on you, but like Sid, she’s can appreciate a good smooch and loves tummy rubs.

They are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, combo tested negative and available to adopt! We would love to get them both adopted together! Visit realcruzancats.org/#adopt to apply to adopt! Their adoption fees are $400 each or $700 for both. Because our kittens are all in foster homes, we require a completed application prior to meet & greets. Thank you so much!
