My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Frank and Fred are sweet bonded brothers who are playful and loving - they are a teeny bit shy until they get to know you, but aren't a lot of us?! They were recently returned to us or the second time, at no fault of their own, and they are disappointed to be back in our facility and are eager for attention! As soon as you start petting them, their backs arch and little butt goes in the air! They rub against you and just make it clear they long for human companionship.

We hope you are their forever family! They were first adopted in 2022 and Frank accidentally got out of the house and broke his leg! He received surgery and his leg is totally fine now. Sadly due to a roommate's inability to keep doors and windows closed to keep this pair safe inside, with a broken heart their adopter returned them to us in the hopes they can find a loving forever home that is better suited to keep them loved and indoors!

They were adopted again in 2023 but were again returned in September 2024 because they didn't get along with the other animals in the home. They are a little plumper now but their original photo is too cute not to use! Please be sure to scroll through them all to see our slightly chubby buddies today!

Frank & Fred need a home where they are the only animals and are loved members of the family. We are heartbroken they have come back to us again and are no longer in a home.

Frank & Fred are disappointed they can no longer lay in sunny patches, look out windows, and snuggle with their person on a sofa. We hope to find them a new forever home soon! These boys must be adopted together as a pair - double the love!

Go meet their pets

Due to COVID-19, we are not currently holding in-person adoption events. Most of our cats are in foster homes and we are doing virtual meet-and-greets with them.

We also have adoptable cats at our two partner cat cafes – CatCafe Lounge (https://www.catcafelounge.com/) in West Los Angeles and Cat Therapy (https://www.cattherapysb.com/) in Santa Barbara. You can make a reservation on their websites, or we can arrange a meeting by appointment once you have filled-out our application and spoken to our team.

More about this rescue

Stray Cat Alliance is a non-profit organization focused on educating and empowering communities to advocate for every cat’s right to be safe, healthy, and valued. Everyday, our team works to save the helpless lives of kittens and cats by providing: spay/neuter, trap-neuter-return (TNR), adoptions, wellness care, medical care, and community shelter support. Our goals are to:

-Eradicate cruelty toward cats through advocacy, rescue, and education.
-Find loving forever homes for cats and kittens taken in through all of our programs.
-Help shelters transform from executioners to safe havens for cats by implementing SCA’s life-saving policies and procedures.
-Educate the community about the plight of free‐roaming cats and empower people to take action to stop population growth through spay and neuter.
-Create and sustain a No-Kill Nation by mentoring other communities to become no-kill through our grassroots programs.

Stray Cat Alliance envisions a time when all cats are valued and safe whether in homes or communities, and when shelters serve as temporary safe havens.
