She has a soft spot for treats, but don't expect her to be overly affectionate. Poppi might not be the type to sit on your lap and purr, but she will bring joy and companionship to your home.
Her unique personality makes her the perfect pet for someone who appreciates a cat with an independent spirit. Poppi requires a patient and understanding adopter. Someone who can understand her initial reticence and give her the time she needs to come out of her shell. The joy of watching Poppi bloom into a confident, loving pet is a reward in itself.

Adoption fees are as follows: $155 for a single cat or kitten, $195 for a pair of cats or kittens. When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment. AHSEM treats every adoption as "foster to adopt" This means that the first two weeks in which you have the cat is the "foster period." We do our best to ensure the right match for all involved and want to give the cat(s) time to decompress and adapt to their new environment. However, we realize sometimes things don't work out as expected. Therefore, during that two-week period, if something doesn’t work out you can bring the cat back. We will always take our cats back even after the "foster to adopt" period. We would hate to see them end up at a kill shelter, abandoned, or any other unsafe situation.
