This helps Quality of Life Rehab & Foster Inc with pet care costs.
Midnight and Dawn. These two cats have found themselves in pretty rough shape. Few years ago, the community cats that went through Sheltering hands all received a microchip.
When we got a call, last week, from one of our fellow animal lovers, Geri Trent, we knew she needed help. She had received a call from MCAS that a few (very sick) cats had been picked up that were chipped to her.
As you can see, their condition was such that animal services would only release them to a partnered rescue. We put in an email and picked them up the following day. These two are SO friendly and they are bonded sisters.
Geri had placed them into an adoptive home three years ago, so this came as a shock to her. They will recover quickly with some good care, but they will look pretty bad for the next couple weeks.
We are not planning to return them from the location at which they were picked up. The person that called animal services does not want them back. We are hoping to find a foster or adoptive family. We think they would be happy as indoor cats, as that was how they started life.
We welcomed them to QoL on Wednesday of last week and they are doing really well, all things considered.

If approved, we will schedule a meet and greet. This is also usually the actual adoption. At that point, an Adoption Agreement is signed.
