Here's what the humans have to say about me:
A note from Dodge himself:
"Hey there, I'm Dodge, a one-year-old Lab mix looking for a home to show me love. I didn't have the best start in life; hoomans didn't really try and make friends with me, so I'm a bit independent. But I'm seeing that hooman attention is kind of nice. I have already learned that I love scratches on my chest! Pure bliss. It makes me feel warm, fuzzy and loved. I ready to try things like snuggles, treats and toys. I can sometimes pull on the leash, because I'm so excited about walking, but a training collar or no-pull harness with help with that. And when it comes to other dogs, I seem to be good with them and we will know for sure if you bring your pooch to meet me. Plus, I'm a good watch dog! I'll bark if someone is coming on the property or to the door, so that's a good thing I can help with! I'm Dodge, and I can't wait to restart my life in my forever home! If you like a dog that isn't all up in your lap and business all the time, come meet me! We can hang out."

1. Give us three optional days/times that work for you, along with the name of the pet you want to meet.
2. Include your full name, town, and phone number. Also, tell us a little bit more about your situation: Other pets? Kids? Fenced yard/go for walks/farm? Rent or own? (If you RENT, we need written confirmation from your landlord that you can have a pet.)
3. We will respond and confirm your appointment.
Since we do first-come, first-serve adoptions, we highly recommend making an appointment ASAP if you want this pet.
***NOTE: Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, microchip and vaccines; all required before adoptions are finalized. CASH OR CHECK ONLY.
We are a rural animal control and depend on both local and out-of-county folks to adopt our pets. We appreciate you looking!

Additional adoption info
Our stray animals are held 10 days to see if the owner will claim them. If no one claims the animal, the animal is put up for adoption. We also accept owner surrendered animals (for a fee) if space allows. Also...Due to Illinois state law, no animals can be adopted without being fixed first. So, if the pet you select is spayed/neutered, you can take it home right away. If not, adoption will be finalized after our next spay/neuter clinic.
