Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Our sweet Lilly girl came to us after being dumped in front of our house with another possible sibling. This little girl was completely traumatized and took a little bit to trust us. However, once she realized we were her protectors, she blossomed into the most loving and sweet dog I have ever encountered.
Lilly is a cuddle bug. She wants to crawl inside of you at all times, because cuddling is never close enough for her. Lilly has a very calm and gentle demeanor, but also loves to run and play outside.
We are unsure what breed Lilly is, but we are sure that she has some sort of hunting dog in her. This girl loves to hunt little critters on our property and is an alert dog. She does need some training in barking, but if you prefer a dog who will let you know if something is amiss, she is your girl.
Lilly has some trust issues with other dogs during the first encounter. She does not like if her first greeting is invasive and can get a little sassy. But after about 3 minutes of being around another dog, she will become their best friend and follow them around to learn from them.
Lilly LOVES children. She is my toddlers buddy and they go everywhere together. Lilly is kennel trained, but gets nervous if the kennel is small. She is potty trained, but when she is in a new environment she tends to nervous pee during transition, but it is not an issue after adjustment.
As I mentioned above, we do not know Lilly’s past experience before us. But we know she was abused in some manner and does not like cramped spaces. Our sweet girl still thinks any fast movements may be followed by a harsh hand, so she will need lots of reassurance that you are her protector and not her punisher. Lilly does have some separation anxiety that we have been working on and improved the longer we have had her.
Lilly is one of the kindest, most resilient dogs I have ever had the pleasure of taking care of. If you are looking for a sweet girl who will be your bed buddy and shadow, please contact me. We are so excited for Lilly’s next chapter, but I sure am going to miss her.
