Yoko came into the shelter as a mom of 2 kittens, and was absolutely pissed off about it, because this sassy and silly lady wants to be the baby herself!! Since her babies were adopted, Yoko has been able to relax and enjoy her life so much more, even in the shelter environment. She can be fickle with people and will go from nuzzling against you for pets and affection one moment, to taking a swat at you the next. This reactivity is a newer behavior for Yoko, and we believe it is the ongoing stress of being in the shelter for months that is causing her to be so overstimulated. Yoko would do well in a calm and attentive home that can respect her boundaries while still offering her love and kindness she deserves!

We ask all potential adopters to fill out an adoption application which allows us to check certain points of reference (vets, home ownership status, previous pets, etc). If the application looks good, the adopter signs the adoption contract which states, among other things, the animal(s) will have a permanent home with said adopter and if for any reason this becomes impossible, the animal must be returned to Four Legs Good. Four Legs Good reserves the right to place a follow-up phone call or visit, with notice, within the first year of adoption.

Four Legs Good is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to providing the most humane treatment of Rockland County animals in need. We started as a small group of dedicated volunteers who decided to make a difference in the lives of feral, homeless and abandoned animals. We are currently working out of the RG CARES Animal Shelter.
