My story

Emmie, named for her bright green emerald eyes, has won the hearts of her rescuers and fosters with her adoring attitude and relaxed nature. She has a beautiful black and grey swirl pattern and super silky fur. She’s a petite girl, and a former mama cat to at least 2 litters of kittens despite her young age. Having previously led the not-so-wonderful life of being a bodega cat, kept in the basement, Emmie has blossomed indoors.

Emmie loves the company of humans. She’ll nuzzle you and weave between your legs and purr up a storm! She is fairly playful and loves to chase a wand toy. When she’s done with pets, she’ll wave you off with paw and instead lay down next to you for a rest.

If you are looking for a relaxed and loving companion, Emmie is your girl. She was a doting mother to her most recent litter, who have been weaned and adopted — now it’s mama’s turn to know warmth, stability, and companionship!

Emmie would prefer to go to a home without any other cats, where she can be your one and only. She is fully vetted, spayed, vaccinated, litter-box trained, and free of parasites. She is negative for FeLV and FIV.
